How do I RSVP?
We invite you to RSVP online using the 'RSVP' tab at the top of the webpage. If you are having trouble submitting online, please reach out to Megan: (703) 789-1098.
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by May 1, 2024. If we do not receive your RSVP by this deadline, we unfortunately will have to mark you as "not attending." We will miss celebrating with you, but we do need to finalize guest count for the venue and our vendors. We hope you understand!
Can I bring a plus one?
Our wedding is strictly invitation only. If you have a plus one indicated on your formal invitation, then you are welcome to bring a plus one! Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate other extra guests due to venue capacity.
Are children invited?
In order to allow all guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our wedding day to be an adult-only occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day and will enjoy having the evening off!
Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?
Yes! The list of events can be found on the Home page.
Where should I stay?
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Residence Inn by Marriott Short Pump at the Notch. Details can be found by clicking on 'Accommodations' at the top of the webpage.
Will there be a bus shuttle to/from the hotel?
Yes! The bus shuttle will pick up guests from the Residence Inn by Marriott Short Pump at the Notch promptly at 2:30pm to take them to Avonlea Farms. The shuttle will return guests to the hotel at 11:00pm.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The wedding ceremony and reception are both outdoors.
What is the dress code?
We would love to see our family and friends dress up with us! We are requesting semi-formal attire. We recommend wearing something comfortable, yet appropriate. No black tie is required, but please no blue jeans! We also advise that ladies do not wear stiletto heels, as there are grassy areas at the venue. We recommend flats, wedges, or chunky heels. If you have any questions regarding the attire, feel free to reach out to the bride or groom.
What is the address for the ceremony and reception?
The ceremony and reception will both be held at Avonlea Farms. The address is 10440 Jefferson Hwy, Mineral, VA 23117.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00pm. We ask that you arrive 25-30 minutes before.
Golf carts will be shuttling guests from the bus stop/parking lot to the ceremony location.
If arriving anytime after the ceremony starts, please head to the Greenhouse (cocktail hour/reception area) to decrease interruptions to the ceremony.
Is there parking available at Avonlea Farms?
Yes, there is ample parking available at Avonlea Farms.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
There will be a cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony.
