Area Attractions:

Wilson’s Apple Orchard: Hometown favorite! This orchard offers seasonal fun for all ages complete with gift shop, hayrack rides, apple picking, pumpkin patch, flowers and more. Many food options on site including Rapid Creek Cidery.

Devonian Fossil Gorge: This is a unique geologic attraction featuring Devonian fossils exposed by floods in 1992 and 2005.

Iowa River Landing Wetland Park: Located behind the Hyatt Regency Hotel. There is a walkway to the Iowa River with 5 acres of wetland features.

Campus of The University of Iowa: Visit the Pentacrest to see the Museum of Natural History or the Old Capitol Museum. The brand new Stanley Museum of Art features a renown Jackson Pollock mural and painting by Grant Wood. Historic Kinnick Stadium is on the west side of campus.

Shopping:

The Iowa River Landing is a shopping destination with Von Maur Department Store, J Jill, Lululemon and Trader Joe’s. The Coral Ridge Mall is located one exit to the west of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

Food:
