We ask that you arrive to Sacred Heart no later than 1:30pm and are seated in the church by 1:45pm. Our Mass will start promptly at 2:00pm.
Can I attend the Mass if I am not Catholic?
Yes! We would love for everyone to participate in our Nuptial Mass. It will be performed in the Ordinary Form. We will be providing programs with Mass guides to all who attend.
Who Can Take Communion?
The Catholic Tradition requests that only Catholics in good standing receive Holy Communion at the Mass. If you are of another faith or have recently returned to the Catholic Community, you may come up during communion for a blessing by our priest.
General Questions
Can I still RSVP?
Sorry our RSVP date was 1st of April, unless you have spoken to us previously we cannot accomodate any more guests.
Is there a Hotel Block?
We did not secure a room block. However, there are many options for accommodations around downtown Raleigh and close to the airport. We also have a lot of airbnb options. The hotels closest to our event are listed in the travel section along with a few options close to the airport.
Is there transportation from the Chapel to the Reception?
We do not have any transportation scheduled however Raleigh does have Uber, Lift, and a cab service. If you are feeling adventurous the reception is just a 15 minute walk through the heart of Downtown Raleigh!
Check back closer to the event for parking and drop off instructions.
What is the Dress Code?
We'd love to see our family and friends dressed up for our day. Dress code is cocktail attire and formal optional.
Can I Bring a Date?
Due to limited space in our venue, we can only accommodate those guests we have formally invited on the wedding invitation. If you have received a plus one, it will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!
Are Kids Invited?
While we love kids, due to the nature of the venue, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult only event with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
Is there an Open Bar?
We will be starting our evening with an open bar starting with the cocktail hour and it will transition into a cash bar later in the evening.
Can I take pictures during the Mass?
We are hiring a professional photographer, and we kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos throughout the ceremony out of respect for the religious event taking place. We will be happy to share photos with all of our guests and we ask that you please do take pictures at the reception!
