The Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel
PLEASE READ:
1. You must use the link below to book a room at our discounted rate.
2. If you are planning to stay an extra night (i.e. - Thursday or Sunday night), reach out to Megan or Scott as we will need to have the hotel open up an extra night at the discounted rate.
3. There is a system limitation with the booking tool that sets the maximum occupancy for each room at 2 people. We have confirmed with the hotel that more than 2 people are allowed. However, in order to book your room online, please be sure to only select 2 guests.
4. We are only opening up a set number of rooms at a time. If you are trying to book a room through our booking link and see that none are available, let one of us know and we will open more rooms.
5. The booking window will close three weeks prior to our wedding date. If you miss the booking window, please let Megan or Scott know.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
Important Notes:
-The Austin airport technically has two separate terminals that are not connected. If you fly Allegiant or Frontier, you will land and depart from the south terminal. Please be aware of this because it is a separate pick-up location for Uber/Lyft. There are also very minimal food options (just one food truck outside) and only one gate.
-If you plan to Uber/Lyft from the main terminal, exit through the baggage claim area, cross the street to the parking garage and go up to the second floor. On the second floor, there is a roped off walkway to walk to the other side of the parking garage. Once you get to the far end of the parking garage, cross the street to enter the second parking garage (this is where Uber/Lyft pickup locations are stationed).
Fetti - Group Ride Share
Fetti is a group rideshare app! The Fetti vans can hold up to 15 people and have a QR code that you scan which will split the cost evenly amongst the group. We recommend downloading the using the Fetti app for larger groups. Uber and Lyft are also available as well!
Electric Scooters
Electric scooters are a great way to get around downtown Austin! Be sure to download the app (Bird or Lime) if you plan to scooter. There are bike lanes on most roads downtown!
Please Note: there are plenty of other hotel options downtown and within walking distance to both the church and the reception venue. If you need any help or recommendations booking a separate hotel, please reach out to Megan or Scott. In addition, we do not recommend Airbnb. There are very few options downtown and prices tend to be more expensive than a hotel.
