Our Wedding

It’s Fall 2014 and Megan, per usual, is very satisfied with herself.&nbsp; She had just finished giving a riveting speech on leadership during her company's monthly book club,&nbsp;and she was sure she'd clearly articulated all of the necessary points, aptly leading the conversation into a higher phase of discussion.&nbsp; Just as she leaned back to bask in the complimentary comments to follow, the new girl across the room casually raised her hand to respond.&nbsp; Not only did she not compliment Megan, she proceeded to deconstruct Megan’s argument entirely in front of 40 of their co-workers.&nbsp; Irritated but intrigued, Megan followed Mandy to her desk after the meeting and asked her to lunch to continue the conversation.&nbsp; The in-depth (and somewhat heated) conversation that followed later that week at the local Chipotle sparked a friendship and discussion that has never stopped.&nbsp;

Since this first encounter, Megan and Mandy have traveled to eight countries together, logged hundreds of miles on their road bikes, visited too many breweries, and made over 400 bowls of popcorn.

Marcus and Megan have been "battle buddies" since the second day of boot camp when he entered her barracks room without an invitation and introduced himself.&nbsp; Over 11 years later, Marcus continues to faithfully serve as Megan's number 1 partner-in-crime and is&nbsp;the only reason Megan has ever been to a hip bar or restaurant.&nbsp;&nbsp;

While Will and Mandy first met through Megan at work, they bonded quickly as kindred introverts. Will is still considered the best thing Mandy took away from her time on the hedge fund team. They have a blast enjoying the simple things in life together, whether its watching action movies at home, cooking steak and sweet potato dinners, or having deep life talks across a campfire. Today they are dreaming of the backpacking adventures they'll take across the US once the CFA is done!

Mary Ann was the Army Softball team captain when Megan showed up to West Point as a lowly plebe.&nbsp; Through many a long bus ride to away games, early morning runs, and sneaky trips off campus, Mary and Meg formed a bond that has withstood two deployments, nine moves, and the general hectic-ness of life.&nbsp; Mary Ann is credited with forcing&nbsp;Megan to stop ordering chicken fingers at nice dinners and is&nbsp;the reason Megan still says "hi" to everyone she passes on a run.&nbsp;

Nelly and Mandy may have started as sisters but through teen angst, many soul-searching conversations, and a dose of self-confidence in adulthood, they have bonded through each phase of life. Through it all, they have shared a deep love for all things foodie, whether it’s whipping up a classic (clams casino), trying new &nbsp;recipes, obsessing over cooking shows, or finding every&nbsp;&nbsp;hole-in-the-wall restaurant along the East Coast.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Megan and Aubrey started as frisbee teammates in college and had&nbsp;such a good time together that they upgraded to roommates for their last year at William and Mary.&nbsp; Aubrey very graciously (and subtly)&nbsp;cooked for two that year, single-handedly keeping Megan from malnourishment.&nbsp; Since graduation the adventures of Cary Street have continued: they braved the streets of Jackson&nbsp;to explore the most eclectic&nbsp;bars in Mississippi,&nbsp;Aubrey lost Megan for an entire night in South Korea, and they&nbsp;survived&nbsp;Mexico's&nbsp;weirdest cooking class.&nbsp;

As rambunctious siblings, Jessie and Mandy first bonded over debating whether to paint their nails (Jessie) or build a fort in the woods (Mandy). They still share a love of playing, whether it’s a board game, getting outside to play bocce, or exploring a new part of town. From their cross-country German adventure to their shared passion of the power of habit and making the most of every day, the journey&nbsp;continues. Jessie is still credited for Mandy’s ability to do her make-up and dress up for a nice night out.
