Traveling from downtown Chicago:
If you are planning to drive, note it will be a minimum of 1 hr 45 min with moderate traffic and >2 hrs during peak rush hour. You will have to pass through at least 2 tolls from downtown Chicago to Wisconsin.
Another option is to take the Metra train. Take the Union Pacific Northwest Line (UP-NW) to Harvard Station and order a rideshare from there. It's about a 25-minute drive to the Grand Geneva.
Traveling by plane:
For those traveling by plane to celebrate with us, we recommend flying into Chicago O'Hare Airport or Milwaukee Airport.
Midway Airport is an option, although it is a little farther south than O'Hare.
Travel Time from O'Hare Airport: ~60-75min. I'd recommend to book a ride in advance or rent a car. I can't guarantee a rideshare will take you all the way there. You will pass through at least 2 tolls to get to Wisconsin.
Travel Time from Milwaukee Airport: 45-60min (depends on rush hour traffic). Easy to book a rideshare and possible shuttles available. Plus no tolls!
**Note if you are driving on Highway 50, please mind your speed. The road is a popular speed trap.
