It all began on a softball field, surrounded by friends and the spirit of the game. We first crossed paths while playing softball for fun, but back then, we barely exchanged more than a few words. Little did we know, that casual encounter was the first step toward something extraordinary.

Fate stepped in when we both joined the same draft tournament in Lake Wylie. It was there that our paths began to cross more often, slowly bringing us closer together. Soon after, we found ourselves practicing for the upcoming season and Winter Worlds alongside friends from the tournament. What started as a shared commitment to the game soon turned into something much more.

One day, after practice, we decided to grab a bite with friends at Gus' Chicken. That meal turned into a turning point for us. As the night went on and everyone else left, we stayed behind, talking for hours and truly connecting for the first time. That night ended with our very first kiss, marking the beginning of our beautiful journey together.

Our relationship blossomed as we traveled to more softball super drafts with our growing circle of friends. We grew closer with every trip, including an unforgettable adventure to California where Eric didn't even flinch at the packed itinerary. Later, we went on our first cruise together where Eric happily joined me for a dream-come-true dolphin excursion.

Before we knew it, we were inseparable—spending every day and night together. Eric even made it his mission to win over my cat, Echo! Moving in together felt so natural, and we began celebrating holidays and family events side by side. The game that brought us together soon became the backdrop for the greatest love story of our lives and we can't imagine life without each other and our little cat family.
