Our Wedding

It all began on a softball field, surrounded by friends and the spirit of the game. We first crossed paths while playing softball for fun, but back then, we barely exchanged more than a few words. Little did we know, that casual encounter was the first step toward something extraordinary. Fate stepped in when we both joined the same draft tournament in Lake Wylie. It was there that our paths began to cross more often, slowly bringing us closer together. Soon after, we found ourselves practicing for the upcoming season and Winter Worlds alongside friends from the tournament. What started as a shared commitment to the game soon turned into something much more. One day, after practice, we decided to grab a bite with friends at Gus' Chicken. That meal turned into a turning point for us. As the night went on and everyone else left, we stayed behind, talking for hours and truly connecting for the first time. That night ended with our very first kiss, marking the beginning of our beautiful journey together. Our relationship blossomed as we traveled to more softball super drafts with our growing circle of friends. We grew closer with every trip, including an unforgettable adventure to California where Eric didn't even flinch at the packed itinerary. Later, we went on our first cruise together where Eric happily joined me for a dream-come-true dolphin excursion. Before we knew it, we were inseparable—spending every day and night together. Eric even made it his mission to win over my cat, Echo! Moving in together felt so natural, and we began celebrating holidays and family events side by side. The game that brought us together soon became the backdrop for the greatest love story of our lives and we can't imagine life without each other and our little cat family.

Rayne became a part of my life a few years ago when she moved to Tennessee with my cousin. From the moment we met, her warmth and authenticity made it effortless to connect, and our conversations have always flowed naturally. Rayne's unwavering motivation and ambition inspire me every day, and I am incredibly proud of her dedication to pursuing a career in law. Despite the demands of law school, she always makes time for fun and laughter, and I treasure every moment we spend together.

Rayne is more than just a friend; she has become an irreplaceable member of my family. Her strength, kindness, and relentless drive make her the perfect person to stand by my side as my maid of honor. I am beyond grateful to have her in my life and can't wait to celebrate this special day with her by my side.

Throughout all of high school, Matthew and I were always together. Whether it was playing sports, battling it out in video games, or going on countless trips, we built a friendship full of unforgettable memories. Our bond only grew stronger over the years.

After high school, I left for the military, but distance never broke our connection. Whenever I came home on leave, Matthew was always there, and we picked up right where we left off. His loyalty and friendship never wavered.

After my time in the military, Matthew played a big role in reconnecting me with Jakob, another childhood friend. The adventures we've shared since then have been some of the best times of my life and have ultimately led us to this incredible moment.

Matthew has been more than a best friend—he's been like a brother. I couldn't imagine anyone else standing beside me as my best man on this special day.

When I moved to Knoxville a few years ago to start the next chapter of my career, I was fortunate enough to meet Becca. We both signed up for a free agent women's softball league, and from the very beginning, we instantly clicked. Becca's fun-loving and carefree spirit made it so easy to connect, and being around her always feels effortless. She has the biggest heart, and we share so much in common, which has only strengthened our bond over time.

I am beyond grateful that our paths crossed and for the incredible friendship we've built. Becca's warmth and vibrant energy make her such a special part of my life. I couldn't be happier to have her standing by my side on my wedding day, and I look forward to making unforgettable memories together.

Tyler and I first met on the ball field, playing our final season of rec ball together before heading into high school. Although our paths only crossed briefly during those high school years, fate had other plans for us.

Thanks to Matthew and Jakob, we reconnected after high school, and from there, our friendship truly began to grow. We went on countless trips together, sharing incredible experiences that brought us even closer. One of the most unforgettable moments was our epic guys' trip to the beach—a trip filled with laughter, adventure, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Since then, our bond has only grown stronger. Tyler's loyalty, sense of humor, and friendship have been a constant in my life, and I am honored to have him standing by my side as a groomsman on this special day.

Surprisingly enough, Suzy and I also met through softball when she and her husband were placed on the same free agent team I was assigned to. From the start, Suzy's kindness and loving nature shone through, making her one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Her warmth and genuine personality make everyone want to be around her, and I feel so lucky to have built such a wonderful friendship with her over the past couple of years.

I am incredibly grateful to be a part of Suzy's life and to witness the joy of her growing family. Having Suzy and her family be part of my wedding means the world to me, and I couldn't be more excited to celebrate this special day with her by my side.

From football to baseball, it was no surprise why Jakob and I instantly clicked. Our shared love for sports and competitive drive to win laid the foundation for our friendship. Although we didn’t hang out as much during high school due to different schedules, we always stayed friendly and kept that connection alive.

After I returned from the military, we reconnected thanks to Matthew, and that’s when our friendship truly took off. We’ve been on countless trips together—from catching ball games to beach getaways and even an unforgettable trip to Vegas. Every adventure has only strengthened our bond.

Jakob’s passion, loyalty, and energy have made every moment memorable, and I’m honored to have him standing by my side as a groomsman on this special day.
