It was the warm and beautiful morning of Saturday July 15th. What started out as a quiet morning in Justin's garage and a day that Meghan could finally sleep in, turned into a day neither of them would forget.

It all started with a subtle buzz from a Bumble notification on Justin's cell phone. Who would be swiping at 9AM on a Saturday this beautiful Justin thought to his self. But to his surprise, it was this woman out of North Topsail, North Carolina. Justin resides in Goldsboro which is about two hours from North Topsail so he was a little confused on how someone two hours away would like his profile. While reviewing her profile he was intrigued that she too had a vast amount of travel photos in her profile to share.

After carefully critiquing her "about me" section and glancing at all of her photos, Justin had to match with her to hear her story! It was a quick response once they "matched" as Meghan wasted no time in engaging in conversation! The conversation took off as they skipped over the boring dating questions (like, what do you do for work, their favorite color, etc.) and instead had witty and exciting banter from the get-go!

One question led to another. until... the question! "What are you doing today?" Justin asked. Meghan had proceeded to tell him that she was heading to the beach today to meet with her friends Mark and Sophie. Justin was just tinkering in his garage and had nothing to lose and everything to gain. He asked "Would you mind if I joined you and your friends today?

Meghan was taken back in many ways with his question. She was excited but yet skeptical. "You would really drive all the way here?" Meghan had asked. Justin is a traveler and never turns down the opportunity of adventure. If there's anything he likes to do, that's listen to music or a good podcast on long road trips. And besides, even if the date went terribly wrong, he still would have had a great day at the beach soaking up the sun!

They had agreed to meet on Topsail Island in the south end near Serenity Point at beach access #17 at 1PM. Justin had packed his beach stuff, and he was ready to meet this mysterious woman! While on his way and roughly 10 minutes away from the meeting spot, Meghan had called to explain that she accidentally went to the wrong beach access #17 and would be about 40 minutes late.

Justin's spirits were high. He had all the time in the world that day and besides, he had a game plan! It was motocross season and the race that day started at 1pm, so at the very least he was going to catch some rays and watch the beginning of the race. The time had finally come. Meghan had made it to the correct beach access! They had a perfect spot picked out and would eventually lay out and set up their beach chairs and their music. This would be the start of the beginning of forever and neither of them knew...

The minutes turned into hours. And these hours had brought so many laughs and great life stories. The back-and-forth questions were endless! Several hours had passed and Meghan's friends were still not present. She had taken this great opportunity to screen the new guy before she introduced him to her friends that were further down the beach.

They had finally walked the beach to meet with Meghan's friends Mark and Sophie. Justin was the least bit nervous though. He's a social butterfly to begin with and can fit in a conversation with anyone! As the hours went by, the high tide was rolling it. It was already 7pm! 5 hours had just passed and felt as if it were only 2.

Mark and Sophie packed their beach gear and they were gone. Meghan and Justin had to head back to the access where all of their belongings were. Once they finally arrived and packed their things, each of them could tell neither wanted the evening to end.

Justin would then proceed to try and lengthen the evening by asking Meghan if she wanted to grab dinner. Meghen obliged. Their first stop would be the "Beach Shop & Grill" right in Topsail. The wait for outdoor dining with the live music was a long wait. After waiting a few minutes and Googling the other local options, they finally decided to take this journey to Surf City.

Their first meal together would be spent at a local summer hot spot called Shaka Taco. As the night came to a closing it was that inevitable time. It was time for Justin to return home to Goldsboro. From a sporadic Bumble match that was two hours away, to a spontaneous road trip for a day at the beach, to eating tacos in Surf City.... The date could have not gone anymore perfectly. The date went so incredibly well, that Meghan called Justin on his way home that night to invite him boating the very next day with her and all of her friends. Friends that Justin had not yet met!

This is just a snapshot of the beginning chapters of Meghan and Justin. Since that magical day, Meghan and Justin have spent every weekend together. Paying no attention to the distance, they have both put in equally the same amount of energy and effort. They spend their weekends going on adventures, traveling to different states, meeting friends and family in faraway places, evening walks on the beach playing ball with Oakley, and most importantly of all, planning for the future and enjoying each other's warm love and company.

The Beginning of Forever....
