Kristofer and I love visiting Downtown Frederick! It's such a cute downtown. It has a variety of cute shops, art museums, and antique stores. Some of our favorite restaurants are in Downtown Frederick (Sumittra Thai and Plaza Mexico). Also, make sure to check out Carroll Creek Park!

Surrounded by the ridges of Catoctin Mountain, Cunningham Falls State Park is home to Maryland’s highest cascading waterfall. A hiking trail and a short walking path both lead to the falls where visitors enjoy picturesque views year round.

Frederick County has much to offer for the under-18 set, from toddlers to big kids to teenagers. In addition to traditional attractions, tours and parks, you’ll find dozens of things for the whole family to do like ice skating, laser tag, special events intended for youngsters, and a variety of specialty stores your kids (and you) will love. There are so many things to do with kids in Frederick!
