WHEN IS THE RSVP DEADLINE?

Please RSVP by Friday, January 3, 2025. This gives us enough time to ensure catering and accommodations are in place!

Non response to RSVP by the deadline would be counted as "not attending".

HOW DO I GET TO THE WEDDING?

The Grand Floridian's Wedding Pavillion has a self parking right in front of its building. This would be the ideal place to park.

If you would like to park other than the Wedding Pavillion parking, Grand Floridian also has a complimentary parking for our wedding guests. Simply tell security that you are here for the "Wright Vow Renewal", and they will direct you where to park. Other direct options include taking a ride share like Uber or Lyft, or Disney's Minnie Van partnership with Lyft.

The Contemporary Resort also has a complimentary parking where you would be able to tell the parking attendant that you are here for the "Wright Vow Renewal" and they will direct you where to park.

Our Disney wedding team discourages the use of the monorail to travel from the ceremony at the Grand Floridian to the reception at California Grill due to any possibility of the monorail breaking down or being late. We would love for you be to part of every moment during our day. Perhaps, we can all ride the monorail after the reception as a group, instead!

WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY RESORT STAY?

You can book your resort stay now! The earlier you book, the better! We have arranged a room block with Disney. Our room block is set from April 4, 2025 to April 15, 2025. You can book as many or as little hotel stays between those dates. More information and direct link to each resort's room block are in the "Accommodation & Disney Parks" section of this site.

If you come across the check in date that you like, but it says, "sold out" please call the room block phone number and give them our room block code: G0846159

IS THERE A CUT OFF DATE TO USE THE ROOM BLOCK?

Yes, the cut off date is March 12, 2025.

HOW DOES THE ROOM BLOCK WORK?

The room block rate is a discount for a standard room at three different Walt Disney World Resorts. The rate is applicable for the entire length of your stay, even if you stay longer than the night before and after the wedding. You can use the website https://book.passkey.com/go/G0846159 to book your room at a room block rate. The hotels include free transportation between the resort, theme parks, and Disney Springs, but we highly recommend driving from your resort to our venues.

DO I NEED TO PURCHASE A DISNEY TICKET TO GET IN TO THE WEDDING?

No, you are not required to purchase a ticket to attend our wedding. Our venues are located in two Disney resorts and not inside the theme park itself. However, you are welcome to come and join us for a park day the next day of our wedding, Friday, April 11, 2025. This is when you will require a ticket to the park.

CAN WE GET DISCOUNTED DISNEY TICKETS AND JOIN YOU AT THE PARK?

Yes, absolutely! Our Disney wedding team offer a prorated ticket to enter the parks. To purchase tickets, please call (407) 827-6799 or visit https://disneyurl.com/Weddings

Theme park reservations are not required for multi-day date-based tickets. For other admission types, including non-dated tickets, theme park reservations may be required. Please check which admission types require park reservations by visiting DisneyWorld.com/ThemeParkReservations.

Please check reservation availability prior to ticket purchase.

You may also take advantage of partial day theme park tickets. You can enjoy single-day admission to one theme park after 1pm or after 5pm. To purchase partial day tickets, please call (407) 827-6799.

CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

We've invited each and every one of you because you hold a very special place in our love story. We want you to be fully present and take in our celebration, and that includes sharing your beautiful faces (not your devices). We've chosen to work with incredible photographers and videographers whose sole purpose is to capture the magic of our event. So, we please request that during the ceremony you turn off and put away all your devices, sit back, relax, and let the professionals do their thing. After the ceremony pull out those devices and click away! We cannot wait to see the fun moments you capture from this magical day. Feel free to share with us on social media and use our hashtag #WrightDisneyFairytale

HOW DO I NOTIFY YOU IF I HAVE A FOOD RESTRICITON/ALLERGY?

We will be having a buffet with a wide variety of food, but we still want to make sure you can enjoy Disney's delicious dishes. When you RSVP via this website, make sure to put in the notes who has the restrictions and what they may be. Disney is fabulous especially when it comes to accommodating food allergies or dietary restrictions.

WHAT IS THE "MY DISNEY EXPERIENCE APP"?

You may download the MyDisneyExperience mobile app to access your plans and park information on the go. Please make sure to link your resort reservation and Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets to your My Disney Experience Account and create park reservations for the days you would like to visit. You will need a valid theme park admission and a park reservation to enter the Walt Disney World Theme Parks. 60 days prior to arrival, you will be able to book dining reservations through the mobile app or website.

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Unfortunately, we are working with a limited venue capacity, and are unable to accommodate plus ones. The number written on your RSVP card is the number of guests in your party we can accommodate. But rest assured, we will make sure you know at least one party at your table for any event you're attending!

CAN I BRING MY PET/ SERVICE ANIMAL?

Only one of the Hotel Resort that's part of our room block is pet friendly and that is Port Orleans Riverside. However, the Grand Floridian and Pop Century are both welcoming only to service animals.

Here is the list of pet friendly resorts in Disney: Yatch Club Resort, Port Orleans Riverside Resort, Art of Animation Resort and Fort Wilderness Resort

There is also a pet resort on Disney property that Mel and Dave love and trust. Here is the website: Walt Disney World (bestfriendspetcare.com)

Most of Disney Resorts are service animal friendly, but please check with that particular resort before booking!

WHAT IS DISNEY BOUNDING?

Disney bounding is a method of styling your outfits that takes inspiration from a specific Disney character. It's cosplay WITHOUT the costume. Disney bounding uses everyday pieces like accessories, dresses, shirts, hats, and pants, in different colours and patterns to resemble characters like Mickey Mouse, Bo Peep, Stitch or your favourite Disney Prince or Princess!

NO GIFTS, PLEASE!

Dave and I deeply appreciate your sweet, generous thoughts, but please do not worry about any wedding gifts! Your love and smiling faces are the gifts we want! Just be there and celebrate with us!

FILIPINO WEDDING TRADITIONS

As well as their shared love for Disney, Dave and Mel would love to incorporate both American and Filipino wedding traditions to their magical day. Here are some information about the Filipino wedding traditions ahead of their fairytale wedding.

CORD AND VEIL

The cord and veil are two of the most visually recognizable elements of a traditional Filipino wedding ceremony. During the ritual, the couple will be draped together in a lace veil and white cord. "The veil symbolizes protection for your marriage and loyalty to one another while the cord symbolizes eternity and unity. This is the part of the ceremony where the Ninongs and Ninangs (spiritual godfathers and godmothers) participate, and they are usually chosen because of the strength, love, and loyalty of their marriage to help guide your own."

ARRAS/ GIVING OF THE COINS

Known as arras, this is a tradition of exchanging 13 coins during a Filipino wedding ceremony. "The arras is a symbol of provision and stability," It's handed from the groom to the bride and back to the groom as a symbol of prosperity and one's oath to provide to each other, their children and their home.

AMERICAN WEDDING TRADITIONS

SOMETHING OLD

"Something old" is all about continuity. It can be used to represent the best part of a couple's non-married life with the intention of extending that into their marriage. It can also symbolize a bride's connection with her family and the past.

SOMETHING NEW

This one is pretty simple! "Something new" stands for hope and optimism for the future. As the couple enters into their new life together, it makes sense for the bride to walk into her marriage with something new.

SOMETHING BORROWED

"Something borrowed" from a happily married friend or relative is believed to bring good luck for the union and even fertility. By borrowing something from a friend or relative in a successful marriage, the hope is that some of their good fortune transfers over.

SOMETHING BLUE

The colour blue is meant to ward off the evil eye, and also stands for love, purity, and fidelity, which is what the Old English considered to be the three key qualities for a strong marriage.
