Our Wedding

Our story began over 9 years ago...yes, we know, it took us a little time, but life has a funny way of bringing the right people together when the timing is just right. We first met at our local pool hall, Nice Rack, where one glance sparked a memory neither of us could forget. Life took us in different directions for a while, but fate clearly had other plans. Years later, we connected over some casual talk, and something just clicked.Our official first outing was a Charger game at a local bar, and little did one of us know, it would include meeting a very large portion of Melissas family. Talk about jumping in head first! However, from the very beginning, it felt easy and natural. There was a warmth and sense of belonging that made if feel like home.Melissa likes to joke that we had a sleepover and one of us never left, and honestly, shes not wrong. From that point on, we were inseparable. We have built a life together filled with love, laughter, hunting, bonfires &amp; countless adventures to the river, desert, Florida, Colorado, Mexico, Borrego Springs or wherever the open road takes us!And now here we are, 9 years later more in love than ever, ready to spend forever side by side! We cant wait to celebrate the beginning of this next chapter with all of you!

Kris is one of Tanner's childhood friends! He will be retiring from the Army in 2027 after serving 20 years! He currently lives in Port Benning, GA with is wife, Kyrstin, and their three sons, Konnor, Kamryn and Kooper!

Julie has been one of Melissa's wonderful friends since first grade! They also grew up in the same neighborhood! Julie and her two daughters, Olivia & Audrey, reside in San Marcos, CA!

Chad & Tanner have been friends since kindergarten & grew up together in Alpine, CA! Chad currently lives in Indio, CA with this wife, Megan, and their four kids, Halle, Bria, Reed & Rylynn!

Davy is Melissa's older cousin, only by two months. They grew up close and Melissa considers him the brother she never had! Davy resides in San Diego, CA!

Samantha is another close cousin of Melissa's, they grew up only a mile from each other and attended the same high school! She recently moved from San Diego to Cool, CA with her wife, Carolyn and their two children Kaeley and Landon!

Mike has been good friends with Tanner for about 20 years, meeting him through Chad! Mike recently got married to his fiancé Kiana and they live in Lakeside, CA!

Paige is one of Melissa's many Aunts! She resides in Lake Havasu, AZ., close to her three children, Nathan, Jovanna and Cami. She also has five beautiful grandchildren!

Jon & Tanner also met through Chad in his high school years & have been friends ever since! Jon lives in El Cajon, CA with this wife, Angela, and their two small children, Layla & Luca!

Megan is Melissa's 13 year old niece! Fun fact about her, she is our families little leprechaun baby, being born on March 17th! She will be joining her big brother in high school after the wedding! She currently enjoys playing volleyball, learning to play the sax, and becoming her own nail tech!

Garrett is Melissa's 17 year old nephew! He kicks butt in his high school marching band, finding a true love for playing the saxophone! He also found a passion for cooking at a young age and is now taking college courses, in addition to his high school classes, in culinary arts in hopes to open and run his own restaurant one day!

Claire is Tanner’s 7 year old niece! She enjoys gymnastics, arts & crafts and her favorite color is rainbow! One of her favorite things to do is “Blamping”, as she calls it… Boat, Glamour, Camping! Yes, they camp on their boat!

John is a Vietnam War Veteran, & later retired from Otay Water District! Debbie worked for PSA airlines for 18 years til they moved their company to the east coast! She planted her feet with Cabrillo Credit Union where she retired! John & Debbie raised their 2 girls, Sarah & Melissa, in Spring Valley, CA for 35 years then decided to change their view & moved to Alpine, CA where they currently reside! They have been married for 53 years!

Scott & Lisa met while serving in the Coast Guard. Scott serving a total of 24 years, Lisa 4 years. They raised their 2 boys, Jesse & Tanner, in Alpine, CA for 32 years, then making the big decision to depart Cali in 2017, planting their feet on the emerald coast of Panama City, FL. Less than a year later, Hurricane Michael welcomed these west coast folks in true hurricane style. While Scott continued to deliver for Tractor Supply, Lisa sadly gained her angel wings in 2022. She walks with us daily, showing signs around every corner that she is still with us! They were married 2 months shy of their 40th anniversary.

Wedding Party

For our wedding, we decided to reserve the property the whole weekend! Thursday thru Sunday! We invite you to stay with us by either bringing your own trailer/motorhome/tent for the night or the whole weekend! I listed a couple of links for those of you that would like to rent one! We have a huge house we can use to make food or order take out to have a spread for all to enjoy! Since we have so many of our friends & family coming from afar, we’d love to hang with you all weekend & have a central place for us to enjoy. We encourage you to check out Lavender & Olive’s website to get a visual of the property! It’s absolutely stunning, plenty of room for both kids & adults. They also offer a huge bunkhouse if you’re interested in letting kids stay there! It’s right next to where the trailers will be! Even though not all kids are invited to the wedding itself, we are more than happy to have them any other time of the weekend (for our in town family & friends). Things To Know

This is the perfect option for staying right at the venue for the weekend! For those of you who have never used this type of rental, it’s like Airbnb, but it’s a nice trailer! They do all the work, drop off, set up, then pick up on check out day! You don’t lift a finger, it’s turn key! When booking, please make sure they include a generator, there are limited spots for hook ups! Call one of us & we can explain more in detail!

This is the same as Outdoorsy, just gives you more options! There is plenty of room on the venue property to camp with us all weekend! Just make sure a generator is included with your rental! Check it out, try something new!
