Our story began in high school in 2018, sitting in the same math class—where Melissa’s very smooth pickup line was sending Zach the math answers. What started as a small moment quickly grew into something neither of us expected: a love that felt easy, genuine, and meant to last.

After graduation, our paths led us to different places. Zach headed to the University of Richmond, where he played lacrosse, balancing academics, practices, and game days. Melissa went on to attend UNC Wilmington. Despite the miles between us and our busy college lives, we chose each other every day. Long distance wasn’t always easy, but it taught us patience, communication, and how to grow both independently and together.

Through late-night calls, weekend visits, and constant encouragement—whether it was cheering from afar after a lacrosse game or supporting each other through life’s challenges—we made it work. Distance only strengthened our bond and deepened our love.

Coming out on the other side of long distance stronger than ever, we knew this was forever. From a high school math class to college campuses miles apart, and now to this next chapter, we are so excited to continue our story—together.
