Our Wedding

Matthew and I met our sophomore year in college while being in a communication class together. We soon realized how much we had in common and how Matt had a British accent. Our professor at the time found us on the last day of classes and said “call me when you get married”. We laughed because we were just friends who partner up in class often, but clearly she could see something we didn’t know would become our forever.

Matthew and I met in August of 2013 and started dating January 28th 2014. Matthew and I faced some long distance early in our relationship until April 2017 when we moved together to Charlotte, North Carolina to start our futures together. We have since traveled to many new cities and counties, bought our first home, and have played/watched countless hours of soccer/golf together.

Matthew asked me to marry him on January 24th 2020 while we were in NYC. We were on a pier in Brooklyn, NY facing the NYC sky line on the most beautiful blue sky day. We cannot wait to share our love with the ones we love the most on October 1st 2022!

One of our favorite areas in Charlotte with great food, drinks, activities. Feel free to ask for recommendations! Good walking areas with breweries along the way. Located 10 minutes from Hotel.

South End (neighboorhood Area)

Great Italian spot in walking distance from hotel, highly recommend. 

Little Mamas Italian 

Awesome experience for Spanish tapas. Great location in walking distance! 

Bulla Gastrobar 

FANTASTIC breakfast and lunch spot, one of our personal favorite places. All farm to fresh. Located walking distance from most south park hotels, especially our wedding venue.

Super fun breakfast spot with the best eats, highly recommend! A personal favorite for breakfast!

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

If you are planning to spend more time in Charlotte, this is a fun place to do some outdoor activities!

U.S. National Whitewater Center

Anything in the South Park area is mainly walkable or a quick Uber. Things to Do

Erica and I met in college while going through the PTA program together. We were known as the sisters of the class, everyone thinking we looked alike. Erica and I share so many common things bringing us nearly inseparable. Erica is one of the most kind hearted and giving people I’ve ever met with nothing but utter support In life. She’s so supportive that one time I dragged her to stand 10 hours in line while it was 40 degrees to sit in the front row for Nick Jonas even though she could careless. Thankful life let us cross paths to have her stand by my side.

Erica Dack

Abigail and I met when we were 3 and 4 years old doing a summer cheerleading program. From there we ice skated together, went to concerts, spent every summer day by the pool together, sleepovers, dancing in the driveway with a chalk drawn stage to being apart of this new adult season of life together. Abbie and I have been friends for far over 20 years and each year gets better. She has always been the Joe to my Kevin (Jonas). I am so thankful for the memories we have together and to all the new ones as she stands by my side. 

Abigail Daniels 

Ashlynn and I met my second year into Charlotte while attending a spin class that never actually happened. Luckily the instructor never showed up that day and we decided to just workout on our own together even though we knew nothing about each other. Luckily that one workout class lead us to a friendship I appreciate so much. Ashlynn is the first person to pull a deck of cards out at a brewery and follow up with a lot of questions. We have explored so much of Charlotte together over the years, experienced new things together and taught me how to wake board!  

Ashlynn Gunhus

Jackie and I have been friends since we were 13. Jackie and I met over an unconditional love for the Jonas Brothers at the end of 8th grade. Jackie really sealed the deal when she let me become a part of her lip gloss group at lunch. Jackie and I were inseparable through high school and were basically apart of each others families. She is also one of the very few friends I've ever allowed to call me ''Missy''.  We have spent so many big events, proms, dances, celebrations, moves to new cities, etc. together and have always found our way back to each other.  There is no one matt would rather fight over the front seat of the car with most days. Jackie has always been a forever friend and my biggest Jonas Brother junkie, I can't wait to have her by my side to say I do! 

Jackie Sirni 

Liz and I are sister in laws by marriage to  my brother Michael. Liz is such a great person to learn from and have such great heart to heart conversations with. She and my brother are always the first to get excited when Matt and I come home, knowing we are always going to try new and good food together. Over the recent year, they have brought out  little nephew into the world and we love the new memories we share with them now that Carter has joined the squad. Matthew and I stood with Liz and Michael in their wedding back in 2018 and we cant wait for them to stand with us!

Elizabeth Gilbert 

Cory and I met during my first college I attending in America. We realized how much we had in common and became best friends while rooming together. Cory and I have stayed in touch through all my moves in America. Somehow he is the only Manchester United fan I've ever accepted in life being a Manchester City fan. I had the pleasure of being the best man in Cory's wedding and we are so happy to have him be the best man in ours. 

Cory Sanders 

Michael has been a big part of my life since I first met Melissa back in 2013. Being Melissa's brother we have spent a lot of our time together and always appreciate it. We have shared some really great memories together over the years and have become like brothers. Michael has always been willing to show me new things and give the full experience since I've met him. Michael and Liz gave us the pleasure to be in their wedding in 2018 and excited to have him and Liz apart of ours. 

Michael Gilbert

Rafa and I met in college while playing soccer together. We were teammates during one of the most memorable years when we won a national championship together. We share a lot of great memories from school and soccer, and continue out friendship to this day. We are lucky enough to have both Erica and Rafa as apart of our group to create more memories forever!

Rafael Dos Santos

David and I met early on with Abbie and Melissa being best friends. David has always been a really easy going and fun guy to be around making it easy to build a friendship over the years. We can always count on the girls taking us to Nicky Doodles for ice cream nearly every trip home, making it a tradition for us. Having David apart of our day with their little guy Jon Henry is without a doubt memorable.

Lucy and Charlotte are Matt's step sisters from England. We are so excited to have them join us on our day. We have watched them grow up over the years together and into such beautiful ladies! Lucy and Charlotte bring a special joy to people and are the perfect combo to start the wedding party off!

Bus pick up

Shuttle buses will start pick up at Canopy by Hilton South Park at 12:30pm with last pick up to the church being at 1:30pm. Shuttle buses will run from church back to hotel starting at 3pm and finish by 4:30pm. (If you would like to drive to church being a local, you can. Can also take shuttle) Both options welcome :)

Ceremony starts at 2:00pm at St. Gabriels Catholic Church. Address provided on invite and on website. Photos to follow in church for family.

Cocktail Hour

Cocktail hour from 5pm-6pm at the Canopy by Hilton South Park outside of the ballroom.

Reception to begin in ballroom from 6pm-10pm. Anyone staying at hotel or local, there is a bar with food served at hotel following reception for all wanting to continue. (At your own expense)
