Our story varies depending on who you ask, Logan or Melissa. The couple met in 2018 and they definitely had different impressions of each other. If you ask Logan, he was in love at first sight and he even told his best friend Colton he would marry her someday. For Melissa, let's say she needed some more convincing. In the end, after hundreds of Biggby coffees and bags of flaming hot Cheetos, persistence prevails and they started dating in 2019.

Melissa and Logan moved in together the fall of 2021 while they finished undergrad. After graduation in April 2021, the couple moved downtown Grand Rapids and rented their first apartment together. During this time Logan was in GVSU's Master's of Clinical Dietetics program to become a registered dietitian and Melissa was studying to get her master's in biomedical science. Later this same year Logan and Melissa went on their first big vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii. They still constantly reminisce this trip and go back to look at photos.

In 2022, Logan and Melissa went on a 12 hour road trip to North Carolina where Logan further planned to propose. Melissa did not know the destination and was simply told to pack and bag and get in the car. Logan rented an Airbnb in the mountains that was met with breathtaking sunsets overlooking the smokey mountains. When it came time to proposal, Logan brought Melissa to the bottom of the hill where he had a photographer ready to capture the moment at sunset.

Now in our current chapter, 2023, the couple is renting a house with a big backyard for Leuko to run around in. Logan started working at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital as a pediatric dietitian while Melissa is defending her thesis to finish up her master's degree.

After years and countless memories, they are excited to get married and start the next chapter in their lives.
