There are so many things to do in the Urbana-Champaign and surrounding area! We have listed some options below that may be of interest, but please reach out to us if you have questions or have specific interests, we would love to share more!
Urbana's Market at the Square
Farmer's Market in Downtown Urbana on Saturdays 7:00am until ~Noon. Enjoy walking through the market which includes farm-to-stand and craft vendors.
Meadowbrook Park
Mike and I love walking in this park and looking at the great sculptures throughout the nature path. There are pavillions and gardens (the play structure is currently under construction).
Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve
Beautiful forest preserve and prairie museum just outside of Urbana-Champaign.
Allerton Park & Retreat Center
The Robert Allerton Park is a 1,517-acre park, nature center, and conference center located in the rural Piatt County township of Willow Branch, near Monticello, Illinois, on the upper Sangamon River.
Urbana Park District
Enjoy many parks, playgrounds, and other experiences in Urbana!
Art Mart
One of our favorite places in town - grab a fresh croissant (or other breakfast/lunch items) and look around the store for unique and fun gifts of all kinds and household items, as well as gourmet foods. They have a nice wine, beer, and spirits collection and an excellent selection of cheeses, meats, chocolates, and so much more!
The Literary
"The Lit" is the cutest bookshop, cocktail spot, coffee shop, and you can get Prosecco on draft! We love walking around in this cute space and looking at all of the books and gifts.
Triptych Brewing
Our other favorite brewer in town where you can grab a beverage and play some games.
Riggs Beer Company
We will be here for the ceremony, but we love this place and it is great to enjoy the outdoors and take in some great beverages!
The Blind Pig Co
There is the Blind Pig ("Pig") and the Blind Pig Brewery ("Piglet") - we recommend visiting both!
Pour Bros. Craft Taproom
Pour your own beer from taps (many options!) and play games such as ski ball, pinball, and other arcade.
Alto Vineyards Champaign
If you are in the mood for some wine and going a bit out of the city, this is a great place to relax!
Prairie Farm
Prairie Farm features a variety of farm animals and activities for everyone to explore.
University of Illinois Arboretum
Beautiful gardens and open space to walk/run around.
Japan House, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
Beautiful Japanese gardens with a large walking path. This is right next to The Arboretum gardens and is a beautiful place to spend time.
