Melissa started doing Crossfit in the Summer of 2012, at the gym where Brian was interning. Brian encouraged Melissa to stick with it and stay positive... even in the days where a single push-up form the knees was challenging! Spring the following year, Brian returned to work for the gym, and proceeded to (not so) secretly add weight to Melissa's bars. Melissa was impressed that Brian was such a dedicated coach, he would often stay late after class, helping her work through any mobility issues or soreness she was dealing with. Unfortunately, this is not a great marker for any potential flirting, because anyone who has been in a class with Brian knows that he will stay as late as needed to help out anyone who asks. Fast forward to the end of Summer, 2013, when Melissa and Brian started hiking together as an excuse to see each other outside of the gym. And now here we are!
