Our Wedding

Melissa started doing Crossfit in the Summer of 2012, at the gym where Brian was interning. Brian encouraged Melissa to stick with it and stay positive... even in the days where a single push-up form the knees was challenging! Spring the following year, Brian returned to work for the gym, and proceeded to (not so) secretly add weight to Melissa's bars. Melissa was impressed that Brian was such a dedicated coach, he would often stay late after class, helping her work through any mobility issues or soreness she was dealing with. Unfortunately, this is not a great marker for any potential flirting, because anyone who has been in a class with Brian knows that he will stay as late as needed to help out anyone who asks. Fast forward to the end of Summer, 2013, when Melissa and Brian started hiking together as an excuse to see each other outside of the gym. And now here we are!

Sisters is a small town, and it seems as though there are many many weddings happening in this area on the same weekend. Please Please consider booking accomodations sooner rather than later!

Sisters is a small town!!! 

If you are attending from out of town and intend to fly, Redmond is the closest airport. It is about a 20 minute drive from the airport to Sisters. There is an airport shuttle or taxi service that can get you to Sisters, but renting a car will certainly be the most convenient option.

Redmond Municipal Airport

Some may find it less expensive to fly to Portland instead. It takes about 3 hours to drive from Portland airport to Sisters.

Portland International Airport

FivePine Lodge, our venue for both the ceremony and the reception has 24 absolutely stunning cabins available for lodging. We do not have a block of rooms reserved, so if you are interested in staying at the lodge you may want to act fast!

The ponderosa lodge is a wonderful option for comfortable rooms that are slightly more affordable than the cabins at FivePine. However, please note that this accommodation is at the other end of Sisters and would require more thoughtful planning for transportation to and from the wedding venue! *** We have a small block of rooms reserved. Best Western Ponderosa Lodge

There are a number of wonderful rental and vacation homes in Sisters and the surrounding area. If you will be traveling with a family or a group, we highly recommend this option!

This is a great option for guests who want to stay near by the venue but aren't looking for luxury lodging! This is a city run campsite that has full hook-up and dry sites and is half a mile from the venue!

You may also be interested in looking for accommodations in Bend. Bend is a bigger city and has some more traditional hotel options. However, please note that Bend is about a 30 minute drive from the venue.

Most of you already know this, but Sisters and the surrounding area is beautiful, and overflowing with incredible hikes and opportunities for other outdoor activities. This website is a great place to start if you have built in extra time to explore!
