We started with friendly dates... The first three dates that Tyler asked Melyssa out on - she had no idea they were dates! She invited her roommate on their night out on the town, thinking it was going to be a group from work for short change, but it was just the three of them. Then he asked her to go to game night with friends - it was more like a board game double date, which was apparently the Husband test because if Harley didn't like her she was out. The third and final unknown date was first day off breakfast - in which Tyler was surprised to find Melyssa had invited many other people from their team at work. Which is when he finally put his foot down, went home with her that day to "help her bake" and finally made his move

Melyssa was being a stubborn relationship phobic jerk, and refused to put a label on their budding romance. Then Tyler kidnapped her, buying her a ticket and bringing her to Kelowna to meet his family. Though she panicked the entire trip there, she instantly fell in love the the Parsons' and Belanger's. The plane ride home, she finally conceded and said they were in an official relationship. In Brooke's words, they had "sealed the deal" for him.

Tyler finally got to travel to Fernie to meet Melyssa's family, quickly winning over everyone. What a showoff...

Tyler decided to make a crazy bold move - convincing Melyssa to move in with him. Though skeptical and hesitant to move in so quickly, it worked out well for them. Aside from the cats being absolute traitors, of course

Melyssa has transformed Tyler's townhouse into her own (sucker) and the cats are still total and complete traitors. How can they love Tyler more than Melyssa when he does things like whisper "that's right you stupid little cat, we are never coming back" everytime they leave the house... He claims it is why they are so excited to see him when they get back

Tyler was foolish enough to travel to Mexico with Melyssa for 2 weeks, luckily with their close friends Brittany and Tyler as back up, but only for the first week. He then realized that she is a deamon who makes him hike around in hot weather

The start of Melyssa abandoning Tyler by leaving him ON HIS BIRTHDAY, going to Tofino for a solo surf trip. Perhaps just a little bitter about the cats...

Melyssa continued to ditch Tyler, joining Syncrude ERT and working plenty of overtime to start training that will continue to dominate her schedule for years to come...

And the final nail in Tylers coffin! Melyssa left Tyler for a 10 day trip to Florida that they were supposed to take together. When she found out Tyler couldn't make it, she said see you sucker! Flying solo, she spent two days at Universal Studios, and six days on a rock cruise with concerts of BOTH their favorite bands. Apparently, that time away made Tyler realize he could live without her... what an idiot!

While Melyssa was gone (yes again) for another tattoo session with Jade, Tyler spent 3 bloody hours in the mall looking for a ring for his asshole girlfriend. Thankfully, with the help of his wonderful mother Michelle, he realized a diamond just wasn't unique enough for her crazy ass, and custom ordered her a ring

The fool actually did it! After Melyssa came home from her first shift at work, Tyler popped the question in a classic them fashion. She was braless and yelling, he was nervous and mumbling, but he managed to get on one knee and get the actual question out. And he picked the perfect ring!!!

Melyssa and Tyler went to see one of their favorite comedians - Andrew Shultz. Tyler was very happy about the late start and the loud music

Tyler "helped" Melyssa craft her horns in preparation for the tattoo Convention in October, when she finally got to show off her back!

Tyler and Melyssa attended the ERT banquet together. She even got nominated!

Melyssa made the mistake of starting what has since been demanded to become a tradition - Friendsgiving

Melyssa abandoned Tyler yet again! This time to go to Texas for fire training, which is where she fell in love with Gavelston Island, one of their honeymoon destinations!

I guess you can't call this trip abandoning, since there's no way Tyler would have traveled to Golden for a snowboarding trip

She did it! With half her wedding party and all 3 Moms, Melyssa found her dream dress!

Melyssa competed at the 2024 AMSA Mining Rescue Competition - and won the Spare man event!
