33 Days To Go!

What is the dress code?

Have you met Tyler and Melyssa? They wear onsies to go grocery shopping. So wear whatever you are comfortable in! That being said, the couple will be wearing the most formal outfits they will ever be in

Will there be an open bar?

The Bride and Groom will provide two drink tickets for each guest. A cash bar will be available for the remainder of the evening, and all non-alcoholic drinks will be free of charge. If you forget to bring cash with you, there is an ATM across the street at the convenience store until 7pm

Will I be able to bring my children?

Though we love your little ones, we have decided to have an adults only celebration

What will the weather be like?

June in West Kelowna is not the hottest time in summer, but it will likely get up to mid twenties. There will be water available, but try to plan for a little heat!

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

A little bit of both! We will be utilizing the balcony with the doors open. Hopefully it won't rain on us, but there will be tents on-site just in case. The Ceremony will be outdoors

How do I get to the venue?

Searching "La Casa Mirador" on your map will bring you straight there, and you won't be able to miss the road sign! The mansion can easily be seen from the highway turn off, and there is plenty of parking both at the venue, and across the street at Guest parking. There is more information on the "Getting There" page

What time should we arrive?

Planning to be there a little early so that you can park, and find your way to our ceremony location by walking, or find one of the shuttle drivers and than find your ceremony seat. Feel free to come even earlier to check out the resort if you so choose!

How do I get to the Ceremony?

After parking at La Casa Mirador or in the Guest Parking across the street, it is a 6 minute walk to 6724 Marbella Loop (Google maps will take you straight there). There will be someone shuttling the guests that can not, or choose not to walk. Please arrive with enough time to make it to the Ceremony location and be seated by 3:00pm

What happens after the ceremony?

The Ceremony and Reception are both at La Casa Lakeside Resort, just a 6 minute walk apart. The Bride and Groom will wait by the end of the isle to greet and thank everyone for joining them on their special day, before guests head the the cocktail hour on the second floor balcony of La Casa Mirador. There will be an option to be shuttled between events if you choose not to walk. The Bride and Groom will be taking pictures with their extended family and than joining the guests for games/cocktail hour.

What should I do if I can't make it?

We completely understand that our venue requires significant travel, and you will be missed! Please try to contact the couple and/or RVSP "no" as soon as possible so that they can plan accordingly

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

The couple decided against getting a hotel block since you can rent cottages on site. There is absolutely NO pressure to stay in the cottages as the availability will be limited, and they can be more expensive than hotel rooms. There is more information on the "Accommodations" page, including information on how to get the cottage discount, as well as a few hotel options

When is the RVSP deadline? Do I have to mail back a response, or can I do it online?

December 21st 2024 is the deadline, but the sooner you can the better! No need to mail anything - all RVSP will be handled on this website

Will transport be provided to/from the hotel?

Unfortunately not. However "Lucky to Go", "U-ride" and "Uber" are all available in Kelowna. There is also a taxi service, and on site parking for those choosing to drive yourself

Will food and drinks be served, and will there be specialty options?

Yes! We will have food served starting off with appetizers at our cocktail hour, finishing with a late night snack, and dinner served between. We have chosen a variety of food options in an attempt to be inclusive, please note any dietary concerns when RVSPing. Drinks will also be served through a cash bar

Can I take pictures and post to social media?

Absolutely! Just PLEASE don't get in the way of photographers, especially at the isle! Also, please use #parsonsscrewednow to your posts, so that the couple can enjoy all of your pictures!

What if I still have questions?

Feel free to reach out to the couple, or their immediate family. Don't be afraid to ask!
