Miceal-Ann was born and raised in Iowa and attended the University of Iowa, obtaining a Biomedical Engineering degree. Upon her graduation in May of 2020 she accepted a job offer in Hudson, WI to work for Phillips-Medisize. While Evan was raised in Kansas, he later moved to Oklahoma in high school and attended Oklahoma State University. He obtained a Mechanical Engineering degree in May of 2021.

May of 2021 became a pivotal month for both Miceal-Ann and Evan, as they both were faced with life changing decisions.

Miceal-Ann was faced with a permanent job offer in Little Rock, AR that was set in stone to everyone who knew her with an apartment and furniture waiting for her. During the evening of her birthday celebration in early May, she heard a voice in the back of her head telling her not to move and to stay in Wisconsin. It was this night she talked to her manager in Wisconsin to see about a permanent position there, and as luck would have it (or fate as she likes to say), there was one opening. She was now faced with two permanent job offers, but she knew God was telling her Wisconsin was her home. Thus, her decision was made and everything changed in the blink of an eye.

Now for Evan, he was in Vegas celebrating his college graduation with his buddies when he got the phone call about his job offers. He had a job offer back in his hometown of Wichita, KS or he had an exciting new job offer up in Hudson, WI, a place he had never even heard of prior to the interviews. He would know no one and embark on a cross country move, but he too made the choice to move to Wisconsin.

And with this decision, the pieces all fell into place for Miceal-Ann and Evan to meet a few months later.
