Michael and Mackenzie's first photo together :) Long story short they were introduced to each other by a mutual friend at JMU as both were involved in the Christian ministry, InterVarsity.

After months of being "just friends", the two went on the same mission trip to Guatemala through InterVarsity where feelings started to develop.

On a date night to watch the sunset at UREC Park on JMU's campus, Michael officially asked Mackenzie to be his girlfriend.

Their first InterVarsity Spring Formal as a dating couple.

The couple supported each other during their time at JMU as Michael pursued a major in Geographic Science and Mackenzie a major in Nursing.

Throughout their time at JMU, the two saw their fair share of beautiful Harrisonburg sunsets. Going to different spots around the city to watch the sunset became one of their favorite things to do together.

Michael and Mackenzie are die hard Dukes and loved their time spent at JMU. Lots of time was spent at sporting events and hanging out with their closest friends.

Michael and Mackenzie both graduated from James Madison University and moved back to their respective hometowns following graduation.

To combat the long distance dating, Michael and Mackenzie traveled to many different places together. To name a few; Wilmington NC, Savannah GA, Outer Banks NC, Nashville TN, Tampa FL and many more! And of course many trips to visit each other in Winchester VA and Richmond VA.

On a special weekend trip back to Harrisonburg, VA, Michael took Mackenzie to their favorite sunset watching spot on EMU hill where he asked her to marry him. She said YES!

Following 2 years of long distance dating, both Michael and Mackenzie moved to Arlington, VA and started new jobs all while planning a wedding! Michael works as a data engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton supporting the DoD and Mackenzie an ICU nurse at VHC Health. The two enjoy all that living close to Washington DC has to offer such as cheering on the Capitals, Orioles, and Commanders at sporting events, trivia nights with friends, exploring the museums and monuments in DC, and many concerts at Jiffy Lube Live.

After almost 5.5 years of dating and 2 years of engagement, Michael and Mackenzie can't wait to enter this new season of marriage by celebrating with their closest family and friends at their wedding!
