Michael and Isabella grew a lot in friendship over Zoom after getting sent home from SLU due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They spent much of their time being silly, watching YouTube videos together, playing guitar, discussing conspiracy theories, praying rosaries, and becoming best friends.

Michael and Isabella's first date included Dunkin' Donuts iced coffees and having fun in Forest Park. At the end of the date, Isabella's car wouldn't start and Michael was almost late to class...whoops!

Isabella visits Michael in MN for the first time! Michael tried to teach her how to ski, but she couldn't stop sliding backwards down the slopes!

Isabella and Michael celebrate their first anniversary! One year down, a lifetime to go!

Michael went to Pensacola for the Valldeperas family vacation!

Graduation! Michael graduated with his BS in mechanical engineering, and Isabella got her BS in social work.

Michael and Isabella begin their long-distance relationship as Michael leaves St. Louis to work near home.

We got engaged on the feast of St. Louis!!! What a blessed day!
