Our story starts way back in March 2017, when this random boy from high school slid into Shannon's Facebook DMs.

That summer, Michael asked Shannon to a tennis match with the deal that whoever lost had to buy the other dinner. After a tough 6-1 loss, Michael held up his end of the deal.

We hung out multiple times that summer. Once school started we both moved to Springfield and finally became official! Shannon had no idea about the amount of Missouri State Football games she just committed to attending.

Our first year was a lot of fun, especially since we both got to celebrate our 21st birthdays together. Michael remembers Shannon’s birthday more than his own (shocking right!?).

We spent our spring break together at Michael's family beach house in Destin, FL. Shannon immediatly knew she kept him around for a good reason!

Year three was full of adventure. Shannon moved back to Springfield to start her MBA. That fall we traveled to Conway, AR for the Missouri State football game and also hiked at Pinnacle Mountain State Park for some breathtaking views.

Michael finally graduated and we both moved back to STL and started full time jobs.

Shannon finished her MBA online and we attended our final graduation ceremony together.

One last visit to the old high school stomping grounds (where we technically first met).

Year five was a year full of working, living in STL and attending lots and lots of weddings together.

The day we got engaged! Shannon was fully convinced we were going to a graduation ceremony, but was very happy to learn it was actually the following weekend. We had so much fun celebrating with all our family and friends!
