Our Wedding

We met in the summer of 2018 while hanging out with Isabel, who is Michael’s cousin and Shelby’s friend. Throughout the next few years Isabel would joke that the two of us would be perfect together, but we never took her seriously. Then, at Isabel’s dad’s birthday party in October of 2021, we spent a lot of the night getting to know each other better and by the end of it knew we had to spend more time together the next day. We’ve been together ever since.

We will be getting married in what is known as “the Queen of the Painted Churches,” one of six hand painted churches in this area of Texas. The Painted Churches are located in Ammannsville, Dubina, High Hill, Praha, Moravia and St. John. ​ The churches are all active and do conduct services on Saturdays and Sundays. You may tour the churches Monday-Saturday 9:00-4:00pm. Visit the linked website to learn more about touring.
