We met in the summer of 2018 while hanging out with Isabel, who is Michael’s cousin and Shelby’s friend. Throughout the next few years Isabel would joke that the two of us would be perfect together, but we never took her seriously. Then, at Isabel’s dad’s birthday party in October of 2021, we spent a lot of the night getting to know each other better and by the end of it knew we had to spend more time together the next day. We’ve been together ever since.

In December of 2023 we adopted Franklin
