Jake and Michaela met in downtown Greenville on January 17th, 2020. They were both out at their local college bar with friends and met eachother while waiting for drinks! Jake complimented Michaela on her earrings, then her hair, then her nose ring, then finally just ended with “I just like everything”. From there they went their separate ways, until the end of the night when they crossed paths again and Jake asked Michaela for her number, stating he just couldn’t live with himself if he hadn’t at least asked (give me a break!!)

And the rest was history!

Fast forward to October 21st, 2023 when Jake asked Michaela to marry him. He lied and told her that they were going to a winery to see their other friends get engaged! Arriving there early, Jake told Michaela that he wanted to go for a walk… which led right to the pond and the hidden photographer. Jake got down on one knee and asked Michaela to marry him, only problem is that they both blacked out and can’t remember exactly what he said! They do remember, however, that Jake was so nervous and they both got caught up in the moment, and Jake didn’t even ask Michaela if she’ll marry him, they wen’t straight to putting the ring on (when you know, you know, right?) From there it only got better, Jake surprised Michaela with all her friends and family up at the Winery and the day could not have been more perfect!

If we had to sum up our relationship in one picture, it would be this one.. where Jake is asking Michaela to marry him with finger guns……..
