Michalina and Taylor met in the fall of 2021, shortly after Michalina moved to Knoxville, TN for grad school. At the time, Taylor had been out of school for a couple years and was working for Clayton Homes while Michalina got settled in Knoxville and began her program in Speech Pathology. Although Michalina was focused on school, she thought it would be good to get to know people in Knoxville, so she agreed to go on a date with Taylor. Taylor chose Chivo, a Mexican restaurant in downtown Knoxville, as their first date (which is still one of&nbsp;their favorite restaurants). Soon after, Taylor continued to try to make time to see Michalina, despite being on very different schedules. A couple new restaurants and a friendly game of bowling later, Michalina was glad she had agreed to go on that original date with Taylor, and the couple continued to enjoy spending more time together. They then made their relationship official in November 2021. Over the next year and a half, Taylor continued to work full-time while Michalina finished grad school. They made sure to make time for each other and shared many interests such as traveling, finding fun things to do together, and getting to know each other’s friends and families.&nbsp;After graduating in May 2023, Michalina took a job as a Speech Pathologist at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville, and they enjoyed being on similar schedules for the first time in their relationship. In August 2024, Taylor planned the perfect surprise proposal in the gardens at RT Lodge a little outside of Knoxville. Michalina said “yes”, and both of their families got together for a surprise brunch the next day to celebrate. On September 20, 2025, exactly four years and one day from their first date, Michalina and Taylor are so excited to get married and enter the next phase of life together.&nbsp;

If you choose to stay in the Downtown Knoxville area, it is a University of Tennessee football weekend, so please do not hesitate to make your reservations earlier if possible. Transportation is available for all guests staying at the Holiday Inn Hotel.&nbsp;If you are staying at another hotel, there are ride-share options to/from the venue or you are welcome to drive and park at the venue for no charge.
