We recommend you to arrive in Matera in the morning and check in at the hotel around noon/1PM. By doing so, you'll have time to get refreshed and be ready for the start of the religious celebration (4:00PM). We recommend you to arrive at the Church of San Giovanni Battista 20 minutes before the start.

We will get you a hotel room at our own expenses for the night of September 7th. We have reserved a few hotels in the Stones district - the "Sassi", all less than 10 minutes walking distance from the church and the reception venue. We will confirm where you will stay by mid-July. Shall you want to stay longer or arrive earlier in Matera, get in touch with us and we will share with you the hotel name so that you can extend the booking. Alternatively, you can book another hotel.

Sure, just please let us know so that we can plan an accommodation also for them. Please leave your pet at home, the location is unfortunately not pet-friendly as it's in the old district of Matera.

We will get prepared, have some snacks and take a few pictures, so you can join one of us if you want. Riccardo will get ready at Palazzo Viceconte - the same location of the dinner. Mila will get ready at her place in via Vito Cavalli, 10 Pomarico (you will have to self arrange a transfer). Join one of us to share these emotional moments!

If you happen to be in Matera on September 6th, you're welcome to join our pool party with live DJ, food and open bar at 7.00 PM at Mila's house in Pomarico, just 15 minutes away from Matera by car. The address is: via Vito Cavalli, 10 Pomarico. Please note you will have to arrange a self-transfer from Matera to Pomarico.

We recommend you to dress formal or semi-formal. We recommend you not to wear extremely high heels as the church and the reception are in the Sassi - the old district of Matera.

All the hotels we have booked for our foreign guests have a free parking, 10 minutes on foot far away from the church and the reception venue. We have reserved a private parking for our local guests at Parcheggio park Scotellaro in via Scotellaro in Matera, less than 10 minutes on foot from the church and the Palazzo Viceconte. You can park here your car at our own expenses for 24 hours as of 11.00 AM on September 7th.

We will have a nanny who will happily take care of potty-trained kids from 6.00 PM to midnight.
