The closest airport to Matera is Bari Palese Airport. Once you fly into Bari Palese, hop on a shuttle bus with direct service who will drop you in the city centre, just a few minutes away from your accommodation on foot. Please check on Google the timetable as it varies quite often depending on the season.

Alternatively, you can land in Brindisi or Naples Airport, but you will have to rent a car to get to Matera.

If you fly from Geneva, you can take a direct flight to Bari via EasyJet or with a 1 stop in Rome or Milano via ITA.

The majority of the guests will stay at Dimore di Pietrapenta LINK in the Sassi Area, just 12 minutes away on foot from the Palazzo Viceconte, the location of the reception. We also have reserved other similar hotels.
