Q + A

What the heck do I wear?

Please dress for a cocktail party or slightly more formal. This means a suit and tie for men and slightly fancy dresses for women.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! There is an open bar with liquor hand-picked by Adam. If you'd like to taste some of his high-end booze, there will also be a CASH Top Shelf Honeymoon Fund (allocated bottles, rare finds, and several booze connoisseur favorites). We will also have several non-alcoholic and non-liquor options.

Tell me about timing, please!

You should arrive for the ceremony around 12:15 pm. The doors for the reception/bar will open at 5:30, and dinner will be served at 6:15 pm. The whole shebang will wrap up around 10/10:30 pm. There is no official after party, but feel free to party on in downtown Denver only 15 minutes away.

Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?

You can find it in the Registry section on this website or by searching for our names where we're registered: Crate and Barrel, Amazon, and Williams & Sonoma.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Unfortunately, due to the size of our ceremony venue, we’ve had to limit the number of guests to ensure a intimate and enjoyable experience for everyone. To achieve this, we kindly request that children not attend the ceremony or reception unless they have a formal invitation. If this is a dealbreaker and you need to bring your children in order to attend, please let us know and we can discuss childcare options.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

The ceremony at the Grant-Humphreys Mansion is 770 Pennsylvania St, Denver, CO 80203. The reception at the Balistreri Vineyards is 1946 E 66th Ave, Denver, CO 80229.

When should I RSVP?

Please RSVP as soon as you know if you can attend! Otherwise, please RSVP by October 23rd. If you don't RSVP by then, but you still want to come, please bring a chair and a sandwich. If you RSVP to come but your schedule changes at the last minute, please let Adam or Michelle know as soon as you can so we can change our official numbers for seating and food.

Can you just go to the reception or the ceremony?

Yes, we have separate RVSPs for each. While we would love to see you at both events, we understand if you can only make it to one. Please feel free to show up to one or both!

Is there parking at the ceremony and reception?

CEREMONY: There is free general parking across the street from the building as well as free street parking. Please leave the tiny lot directly in front of the building open for older guests! RECEPTION: There is a giant free parking lot at the back of Balistreri Winery. When you arrive, drive around back to the lot. You are even welcome to park there overnight.

What should I do between the ceremony and and reception?

We don't have anything official planned for guests, so you can do whatever you want! Grab lunch with friends, go home and take a nap, etc. Visit the Things to Do section (scroll up to find the link)--we've listed some of our favorite activities and places to grab a bite.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors? Should I worry about the weather?

It's Colorado, sooo...be prepared for just about anything! Below is data from the last five years to give you a better idea of November 23rd historically. On only ONE of these dates was there precipitation, and it was only .01 inches. So. It'll probably be in the 60s. Probably. But you never know. #Colorado 2019: Low of 28, high of 55 2020: Low of 30, high of 65 2021: Low of 36, high of 71 2022: Low of 31, high of 50 2023: Low of 22, high of 44

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

We have not. There are so many options for places to stay, and instead of forcing all of our out-of-town guests to stick to one hotel chain, we encourage you to try a local AirBnb or a smaller hotel to save some money. If you need help picking a good location, get in touch with Adam or Michelle.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the ceremony to the reception??

There won't be a shuttle, but if you go to the Travel section above, there are ideas to help you get around town.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Great question. Balistreri's restaurant will be making all the food, and there will probably be a few different buffet-style options in accordance with what's in season. Dessert will have several homemade bite-size options.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Physical gifts can be sent to Michelle's address or you can bring them to the reception at Balistreri. Honeymoon Fund and/or Carport Fund gifts can be sent directly through the Registry on The Knot.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding and then post them on social media?

Sure, why not? As long as our amazing photographer and videographer can get shots without people experiencing the moment through their phones, we don't mind you taking your own pictures.

Where will wedding updates be posted?

Here on The Knot.

I have more questions, who can I contact?

Contact Michelle or Adam, whoever you are closer to. If it's the Day Of, you can contact literally anyone except for Adam and Michelle. They'll be a little busy.
