Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to do lots of walking.
When and where is the wedding taking place?
We are thrilled to celebrate our union Mardi Gras morning! The ceremony will be held in Crescent Park at the Piety Street Wharf on February 13, 2023 at 8:00 am. We will be hosting a party before the Endymion parade that will take place on Saturday, February 10, 2023 beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Can I attend only certain events or days?
Absolutely! We understand that Mardi Gras offers a range of activities. Feel free to join us for any part of the celebration that suits your schedule. You're welcome to attend the wedding, party, or any other festivities on your own terms.
Will there be food and drinks available at the party?
Yes! We'll have a delectable spread of food and beverages at the party. Get ready to enjoy some local flavors and raise a toast to our joyous celebration!
Can I bring a plus-one or my family?
While we'd love to celebrate with everyone, we only have so much space in our backyard. Our aim is to make space for everyone while keeping the party cozy and vibrant. We don't want people to not come though just because they have guests in town for Mardi Gras. Please communicate with us if you have any specific questions regarding your situation. If you know you will have people with you on Endymion day please make sure to reach out to us and include the number of guests on your RSVP so we can plan accordingly. We welcome all to join us Tuesday Morning as we celebrate our love with as many colors and costumes as possible.
How do I RSVP for the wedding and other events?
You can easily RSVP for each event on our wedding website. Just head to the RSVP section, select the events you'll be attending, and provide the necessary details.
How do I know when and where the parades are?
EASY! Just download the WDSU Parade Tracker App. A complete guide to all parades routes and times. They even track the Krewe's location in real-time! Another good resource is this website. https://www.mardigrasneworleans.com/parades/
How do I get around during Mardi Gras?
Mardi Gras involves a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are a must! Parking is extremely challenging due to the parade crowds and traffic. We recommend bicycle as the best way to get around. If you choose to Uber, plan smartly by setting drop-off and pick-up locations a few blocks away from the parade routes.
Can I use Uber for transportation during Mardi Gras?
Yes, Uber can be convenient, but be mindful of heavy traffic close to parade routes. If using Uber, remember to set pick-up and drop-off locations away from the parade path. Biking is a popular and efficient way to navigate the festivities.
What if I want to bike but don't have one with me?
The city has a bike share program with locations scattered around. It is called the Blue Bike program. Information can be found at this website. https://bluebikesnola.com/
Will there be accommodations nearby?
Certainly! We'll provide information on nearby accommodations to help you plan your stay. However, please note that lodging can fill up quickly during Mardi Gras, so it's best to make arrangements as early as possible.
Where can I watch parades?
Anywhere you can find space! We recommend finding a spot near a bar for drinks, but more importantly bathrooms! Bathrooms are key here. There are no shortage of options, but we recommend the Avenue Pub, The Beaded Oak, Igor's, Fat Harry's or Superior Grill. The farther Uptown, the more safe and family friendly.
Are pets allowed at the events?
While we adore furry friends, due to the nature of Mardi Gras and the potential crowds, we recommend leaving pets in the comfort of your accommodations during the festivities.
Is there anything else I should know about participating in Mardi Gras?
Remember to bring your festive spirit and enthusiasm! Mardi Gras is a one-of-a-kind experience, and we want you to enjoy every moment. Feel free to ask us for recommendations or tips if you're new to the Mardi Gras scene. Let's make this celebration unforgettable, together!
