Sunday AM: Okeanos, Mid-City, Thoth

Uptown Parade Route

The Krewes of Okeanos, Mid-City and Thoth roll down the Uptown - St. Charles parade route start at 11 am on the Sunday before Mardi Gras. We will be viewing from the stands in Lafayette Square, across from Gallier Hall. Tickets available for purchase online. Comes with very necessary bathroom access, as well as food and drink vendors.

Sunday PM: Krewe of Bacchus

Uptown Parade Route

The legendary Bacchus parade begins its odyssey at 5:15pm on Sunday making its way down the Uptown route. This heavy-hitter is a carnival favorite. Don't miss out on the Baccha-gator!!

Monday: Krewe of Red Beans

Mid-City/Treme

Join us for our favorite Lundi Gras tradition. The Krewe of Red Beans is a walking parade where revelers don homemade costumes featuring the most cherished legume in Louisiana. The celebration begins at 2 p.m. at the Cabrini Bridge and dances through Mid-City to the Treme. The parade ends at the Backstreet Cultural Museum with a dance party in the street.

Monday PM: Proteus and Orpheus

Uptown Parade Route

Back to the Uptown parade route, the evening of Lundi Gras features two parades that roll starting at 5:30. Proteus holds the title of the second oldest parade of Mardi Gras, est. 1882, and features the traditional torchbearers known as Flambeaux. Orpheus boasts the status of being a Super Krewe and maintains a music theme every season.
