Things to Do

Things to do within wedding festivities:

If you're traveling in on Friday, we'd love to see you at the bar at Brewer's Alley the night before the wedding (Friday 10/17)! Alex and Michelle are planning to be there for an hour or so after the rehearsal dinner. Drop us a text to let us know if you're going to stop by to say hi!

The wedding party will be at Brewer's Alley at 8 pm :)

Things to do in Frederick outside of wedding festivities:

We recommend checking out Baker Park while you're in Frederick! It's one of Michelle and Alex's favorite places in Frederick, and Alex proposed at the carillon in the park!

After enjoying the park, we recommend taking a stroll down the creek into downtown Frederick and checking out Market Street Boba & Beans on Market for bubble tea, Sumittra on Patrick for Thai, and/or Tsunami for ramen and tapas!

Downtown Frederick also has a public art trail. Details and a map can be found here: https://www.visitfrederick.org/things-to-do/tours/downtown-walking-tours/public-art-trail/. My favorite is #21, the Earthbound Mural on Church Street.

If traveling was stressful and you need to unwind, Olde Mother and Attaboy are great places to stop for a drink!

Touristy things to do within an hour of Frederick:

1. Our nation's capital is about an hour away down 270. There are many monuments to see such as the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. All of the Smithsonians are free entry, including the zoo, the Air and Space Museum and the Museum of Natural History.

2. Historic Gettysburg is about 45 minutes north of Frederick on 15. If you're a history buff, this might be a neat spot to check out!

3. Baltimore's inner harbor is 45 min - 1 hour away heading east on 70. There is a great (but expensive) aquarium here and all the blue crab you can eat!
