Both the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Frederick and Union Mills Public House are located in the beautiful, historic downtown Frederick.

For the ceremony, we suggest parking in the Church Street Garage, which is conveniently located next to the church.

For the reception, the closest guaranteed parking is at the East All Saints Street Parking Garage, which is a 5 minute walk from the reception venue.

Metered street parking is also available throughout downtown. There is also a free public lot across from Attaboy Brewery on Sagner Avenue.

Alternatively, the walk from the church to the reception venue is ~10-15 minutes. The scenic route along Carroll Creek is 15-20 minutes :)

For those flying in, we suggest the following airports:

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

- about a 50 minute drive to Frederick

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)

- about a 50 minute drive to Frederick

We recommend having a rental car for transport to and from the airport, as Ubers/Taxis/etc. can be quite expensive for that distance.

The boats in Downtown Frederick's Carroll Creek are for decoration only. We recommend driving or flying.

There are many hotel options in Frederick:

1. This is where Michelle and Alex are staying!! There is a wedding block at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Frederick (by Marriott) located at 5220 Westview Drive, Frederick, MD 21703, which is right next to the first hotel option. The rate here is $179/night for a king or double queen room and there is a complimentary breakfast included. You must book by Sept. 19, 2025 to get the rate. We also have a wedding block at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 7226 Corporate Court, Frederick, MD 21703, which is about 10 minutes from our venue and also located across the street from Westview shopping center where you can find food, shopping, movies, etc. The rates are $149/night for a king room, $159/night for a two queens room, and $179/night for a king junior suite. Check-in is at 3pm, check-out is at noon, and early check-in can be requested, but is not guaranteed. This hotel does not include breakfast! There is a Cracker Barrel very close by though!

3. The budget-friendly, close-to-the-venue option is the Super 8 by Wyndham Frederick at 20 Monocacy Boulevard, Frederick, MD 21704. It is only 1.1 miles away (a mere 5 minute drive) but may be lacking a star or two. This hotel is also located right behind the Costco, so if you need to grab a small pallet of granola bars for the weekend, you would be set!

4. There is also a smattering of AirBnB options scattered throughout Frederick, some within walking distance of the venue. Feel free to take a look if that suits your fancy!

There are three other hotels within half a mile of our two hotel blocks: Residence Inn Frederick, Courtyard Frederick, and Extended Stay America Frederick. The Hampton Inn Frederick is across 85, and there's also a Hampton Inn Ft. Detrick, which is still about 10 minutes from the venue, but in a different direction than all this.
