Just a short 5 minute drive down the road from the Spyglass Inn, Pismo Beach is a vibrant beach town. Explore shops, enjoy the restaurants and bars, or walk down the pier. Pismo Beach is a great place to sunbathe, swim, and surf with miles of sandy beaches. Further south, you can explore the Pismo dunes and even rent a dune buggy.

Pismo is very popular, so very crowded. Get there early if you want to find parking!

It’s more than just produce. The San Luis Obispo Farmers Market is legendary and a great way to explore the entire town in one night. Local farms, restaurants, stores, and organizations line up on Higuera Street through the middle of Downtown and you can walk down and explore.

Enjoy famous San Luis Obispo Tri-Tip, amazing Mexican Food, and sweets from around town.

The Farmers Market is Thursday night so if you are arriving into town the day before the wedding, we highly recommend you stop by.

For Beach lovers who want to keep it low-key. This sleepy little beach town is basically two blocks long and consists of a few restaurants and bars, shops, and a couple hotels. They have a nice big beach and it’s a bit out of the way. Enjoy the peace and quiet on the beautiful Central Coastline.

Avila Valley Barn is great for animal lovers and anyone looking for a treat to bring home with them. This open air shop sells local produce, baked goods including incredible pies, and locally made gifts. They also have a sweet shop with homemade ice cream and salt water taffy. Just down the road from Avila Beach, this is a great stop after a beach day.

For animal lovers, they also have a full petting zoo!

Trying to kill sometime before the Ceremony on Friday? Take a stroll around Downtown San Luis Obispo. It’s just a 10 minute drive from the Spyglass Inn. Downtown is just a few blocks so you can explores the shops, walk down to the creek, and even check out the Mission. Downtown is condensed so you can see everything in just a couple of hours.

San Luis Obispo still has a drive-in! If you’re coming into town on Thursday or staying past Friday night, catch a movie at the old fashioned drive-in with family or friends

For those who enjoy hiking and a great view. If you get into town early or decide to stay a day or 2 after the wedding, check out Mount San Luis! It’s a 4 mile hike with a fairly steep climb, but the views of the area are worth the effort!
