Miranda and Viktor met in 2011 during Viktor's high school exchange year in Maine. Miranda was 16, a junior at Bangor High, and Viktor was 18, a senior at Orono High. They met at a dance on 11/11/11. They continued to date throughout Viktor's exchange year, and Miranda went to Sweden for the first time to meet his family in the summer of 2012.

After her visit, they tried to go their separate ways as they weren't sure how to make it work while finishing high school. But they continued to talk every day and decided in the fall of 2012 that they wanted to continue to date despite the distance. They made the time difference work by texting on WhatsApp and skyping almost every night. They both finished their senior year of high school in 2013 and decided that they wanted to go to college near each other.

In the summer of 2013, Viktor moved in with Miranda and her family in the United States, and they both began their college careers in the fall. Miranda went to the University of Maine in Orono, while Viktor went to Husson University in Bangor. Viktor would go home every summer for 3 months, and they would fall back into their long-distance relationship routine.

Miranda graduated college in 2017 with a Bachelor of Psychology and Sociology. Viktor continued on to get his master's in Business Administration and graduated in 2018. Once he graduated, he had to return to Sweden, and they decided that they wanted to continue their life journey in his hometown, Örebro. Miranda applied for Swedish residency and awaited approval, while Viktor went back to Sweden and began setting up their new home.

For another year, they had to be long distance once again. But in the end of spring 2019, Miranda was granted permanent residency in Sweden. She officially made her move in June of 2019. Once there, they began to explore life living in Viktor's home country. Viktor worked full time, while Miranda went on to study Swedish to better acclimate to the culture. She also worked on her art and social media, while Viktor found a passion for music production.

Then in 2022, they got the surprise of a lifetime when they found out that they were expecting their son, Vincent. He was born on January 27, 2023, and they both agree that he has been their greatest adventure in life so far.

In the summer of 2023, while visiting Miranda's family in Maine, Viktor proposed. And of course, Miranda said yes! Which brings us to now, as we await the much-anticipated wedding that is planned for August 10th, 2023. Miranda and Viktor are excited to start the new adventure that is being husband and wife.

Because the couple lives in Sweden, they cannot bring any gifts home. So in lieu of a registry, a cash fund has been made.
