Travel Q&A
How do Miranda and Viktor usually travel to Maine?
Over the years we have come up with the least time consuming and cheapest route.
We fly out of Stockholm Arlanda Airport using Icelandair. We then have a layover in Iceland and then catch a connecting flight to Boston Logan International. From there we typically get a ride from the airport to Bangor, ME. Or we catch a bus on Concord Coach Lines and get off at the Bangor, ME terminal on Union Street.
Where should we fly into?
We recommend flying into Boston Logan International Airport. This is located in Boston, Massachusettes which is a 5 hour drive from the Wedding Location.
If you would like to fly even closer you could fly into Bangor International Airport but this is more expensive.
How do we get to Lincoln, Maine from the Airport?
At the airport you have two options - take a bus or rent a car.
If you take a bus you can take it all the way up to Bangor, Maine - Miranda's hometown. From there you can rent a car or get a ride up to Lincoln, Maine.
If you rent a car from Boston you can drive directly to Lincoln, Maine for the wedding event or stop at other New England landmarks along the way!
Should we rent a car?
We recommend renting a car so you can come and go at your own convience as well as sight see around Maine and other New England States.
Do we have to rent a car?
No! if you take the bus to Bangor, Maine, Miranda's family and friends can help transport people up to lincoln for the wedding.
When should I book a room?
Summer lodging and accomodations book up very fast so we recommend doing it as soon as possible!
Are there any hotel rooms reserved for wedding guests?
Yes, there are 25 rooms set aside for wedding guests at the Whitetail Inn in Lincoln. They wil be held until May 25th so it is first come first serve.
Are there options other than hotels?
Yes! There are some camps and lake houses for rent on Airbnb.
Book as soon as you can though as they fill up very fast in the summer months.
Can we stay the night at the venue?
Rooms and cabins at the venue are being reserved for the wedding party and guests traveling from abroad. But, if you are feeling adventurous you are more than welcome to pitch a tent and stay the night!

If you are visting other states first before coming to the wedding and then catching a flight to Maine, we recommend flying into Bangor International Airport.
You can also get a connecting flight if you are flying from Stockholm - but this will be more expensive then landing in Boston (but you wont have to drive/catch a bus from Boston)
