Our Story

<p>Their story began the year after Dayna graduated from High School when she sent Mitchell a friend request over Instagram. They had both attended Rosewood State High School at the same time, knew of each other, but hadn't quite crossed paths, being in year 9 and 12 respectively. Mitchell got drunk one night and decided it was the best time to shoot his shot, so sent a message! It took another 6-months until they could finally lock in that first date. Be sure to ask Dayna &amp; Mitchell who won putt putt that night because their versions might differ... Despite making the joke there was a dead body in the back of his car (It was just a soccer ball rolling around), Dayna &amp; Mitchell became inseparable after that. They moved in together a couple months after and began saving for their very first home. Despite some challenges, Mitch supported Dayna through law school (he really was the only reason she ate), their builder for their first home went broke halfway through completion leaving them in the dust, they navigated entering the working/corporate life and have come out the other end. Now, they look forward to smashing their next milestones being renoing (for the first time) their forever home, getting married and continuing to feed their travel bug.</p><p>They can't wait to celebrate June 20 with all of you, and establish this date as their "forever anniversary.</p>

Johnny is Mitch's big brother, and the guy you’ll find in most of their travel albums on Facebook. Johnny is one of the fiercest people they know – and with moves like his, they have no doubt he’ll be the first one up on the dance floor at the wedding!

Dayna first met Elisa at their very first high school jobs at Hungry Jacks! Once she married one of her besties, Ammon, Elisa quickly became one of their nearest and dearest. She's always the first to check on you, to offer help and brings only the best vibes!

Maddy has been Dayna's best friend for nearly 18 years, first meeting in pre-school. Sharing a love of cocktails and an enormous amount of memories, Maddy quickly became the reason Mitchell was called the “third wheel” for many hangouts. Maddy is one of the most loyal people they know, and they couldn’t be happier to have her standing by their side on such a special day.

Kade is Mitch's first real friend. Meeting at pre-school because of a fight in the sandpit with a bunch of other boys, it's now been 23 years, and they haven't left each other's side.

Dayna & Mitch met Olivia through the love of her life, Kade, and their lives just haven't been the same! They went from talking about how they were surviving university to what decor to buy for their very first homes - they've been through it all together. Now, they can't imagine their special day without her standing right there with them!

Mitch met Tuia when he was a kid at the McGarrigal's house as he was best mates with Jai (Kade's younger brother). The older they got, the closer they became. Tuia has become one of Mitch's best mates over the past few years.

Alishia is not only their sister-in-law, but also one of Mitch and Dayna's dearest friends. From the moment you meet her, she will always make you feel welcome and be down for a good chat/laugh! You will catch her shaking her head at Johnny's dance moves on the night before he's able to get her to join in and tear it up.

Alishia Humphreys

Mitchell has known Jai for probably as long as he has been alive. Being Kade's younger brother, Mitchell would always see him when he was over at their place. As they have gotten older, they have all grown closer and Jai is one of Mitch's best mates. 

Char is Mitch & Dayna's eldest niece, daughter to John and Alishia, and quite the planner! She will have every detail memorised and planned meticulously to ensure those around her have an amazing time. Her laugh is infectious and Mitch & Dayna feel so grateful to have the privilege to watch her grow!

Charlotte

Chelsea is Mitch & Dayna's youngest niece, daughter to John and Alishia, and is on the shyer side when you first meet her. After that, you're fair game to her cheeky and sarcastic nature! Living across the road, you'll often find her beating Mitchell up in her spare time, all with love of course! Mitch & Dayna are so proud of who she is becoming and are so honored she is able to join their day in such a special way!
