Our journey began in the early 2000's, one particular sunday, while we were both members of Full Gospel A.M.E. Zion Church. Mitchell was in the United States Air Force, and Cherise was in college at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). Mitchell had just sang in the choir, and after church, we were introduced by a mutual member. Nothing would come of it, and years would go by before unbenounced to us, our paths would cross again. In 2022, while out with friends. Mitchell walked in, and Cherise laid her beautiful eyes on him and replied, "Hey, I know you from somewhere." After some consideration, neither of us could determine the exact location, so we exchanged phone numbers and continued on with our evening with our respective friends. Then, later that night, while driving home, Cherise texted Mitchell, stating, "I know how we know each other, and you should call me!" Mitchell quickly called Cherise inquiring,"Who, what, when, where, and dang it, how?" Cherise responded "from From the Heart Church." Mitchell was relieved because he feared some mutual acquaintance would spoil his opportunity to finally seal the deal. 😊 He didn't want to let Cherise get away this time, and it was apparent the feeling was mutual. A few weeks would go by before our first date, but once it happened, We happened. Now we're inseparable!
