It all started when Miyah got her start as a server at Bar Louie. Never serving a day in her life, she had to navigate the ins and outs of the restaurant business. Luckily, there was a very helpful bartender willing to show her the ropes. Mark made Miyah feel right at home with the Louie crew, even inviting her to hangout with everyone after work.

A few weeks go by and Miyah gets an Instagram message from none other than Mark. Miyah wasn't sure what it was going to be about but she smiled and laughed when she saw it was a meme that described the crazy night they just had at work. From that moment on, Miyah and Mark talked every day. Sometimes about work but most of the conversations were about things that made them happy, things that they liked to do, and really, any and everything that described them as people. Weeks of talking and laughing went by and Mark finally made the first move by asking to "hangout sometime" when Miyah really knew that meant he was asking her on a date but was secretly trying to sound laid back about it.

From the first date on, Miyah and Mark spent almost all their time together watching Star Wars, going to the cider mill, showing each other their favorite restaurants or cities, putting together puzzles, and of course playing video games. No matter what they were doing, as long as they were together they knew it was going to be a great time. It was clear to both of them and their families that they knew they were meant to be together. They each bring out the best in one another and the love they share is unconditional.

So, fast forward almost three years after our first "hello", on August 13, 2024, Mark took Miyah to the Sleeping Bear Dunes and asked Miyah to spend the rest of her life with him and without hesitation she said yes.
