Our Wedding

At Big Lake in Blanco, Texas, Josh proposed at sunrise. Just us and a disposable cameraand the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen. It was perfect.

We're continuing love at the lake by getting married at MJ's childhood lake house. The photo below shows the lake from 1931. We cannot wait to share this special place with you!

The wedding will be hosted at MJ's childhood lake house at Lake DeLafosse. The Texas lake is located between Albany and Breckenridge. Abilene is the closest 'big city' to the venue.🤍Shuttles information for guests on the wedding day from both Abilene hotel blocks can be found below. If you RSVP'd "Yes" to having a shuttle pick you up at either of these hotels, each bus will ARRIVE on Saturday, October 24 at 2:45PM, and LEAVE each hotel at 3:00PM. Please be prompt as the bus can only wait so long before they will leave! The same bus you came on will return you to your hotel at the end of the wedding which is set to end at 11PM.

We would also encourage guests to look into local Airbnbs! There are lots of great options in both Albany and Breckenridge where guests could stay as a group.

Travel

The wedding will be hosted at MJ's childhood lake house at Lake DeLafosse. The Texas lake is located between Albany and Breckenridge. Be aware that there will be a long dirt road, valet for your cars and golf carts taking you to the ceremony. Please be mindful of giving yourself enough time to get settle as the wedding will start promptly at 5pm.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS

The venue is by a small lake off the highway, so GPS can be a little tricky. The property is located on County Road 211, off US Highway 180.
