What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Please plan to arrive 40 minutes early at 4:20pm to get parked, get seated, and settled before the ceremony begins. The venue has a long dirt road entrance and you will be golf carted to the ceremony from the parking lot. This may take longer than usual wedding venues.
Is there a dress code?
Formal / Black-Tie Optional: dark suits, long dresses, and evening attire. Many guests will be in tuxes. We love color and our wedding will reflect that, so we encourage bold, fun attire. Feel free to wear boots, as this wedding will be outside. Ladies, you will be walking in grass for part of the night, block heels are encouraged.
Can I bring a date?
Your invitation will indicate whether you have a plus-one. If your guest’s name isn’t listed on the envelope, we’re unable to accommodate additional guests due to space constraints.
Are kids welcome?
We love your kiddos, however to keep the evening relaxed and safe, we’re keeping the guest list adults-focused, with the exception of a few family members. The wedding sits right next to the lake so we want to be mindful of tiny guests and their safety. Thanks so much for understanding.
Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Yes! There will be shuttles from both Abilene hotels, but not for Albany or Breckenridge hotels/stays. This shuttle is for transportation to and from on the wedding day only. Shuttle information is available on the Travel tab above.
Is there parking for the ceremony and reception?
Yes! There is parking available at the venue. Please ensure more time as the road to the lake, valet parking and being golf carted to the ceremony may take longer than you might expect. We recommend using the shuttle services to ensure a smooth and safe transportation if you are staying in Abilene. You can learn more about the shuttles on the Travel tab above.
If I'm driving, how do I get to the lake?
Great question, we know it can be hard to find on a map! Exact coordinates and visuals are on the Driving Directions tab.
Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Yes! We have a Welcome Party on Friday, October 23 at the Icehouse Restaurant in Albany. It is come and go, starting at 7:30PM. Wear your best western cocktail and be ready to listen to local music. We cannot wait to see you there!
