Why is the wedding in Salado, TX?

Molly's family has strong ties to Salado and the surrounding areas in Texas. Molly grew up in Salado, graduated from Salado High School, and her parents live in Salado. Molly's great-grandparents, Roy and Eva Lamberth, were married in the house at 7 N. Main Street in 1936, which is now Empresario Wines. Her grandfather and great-aunt grew up in that house and attended the original red school house for grades 1-12, which is now the Salado Civic Center on Main Street. Molly's mother and uncle, and their cousins, spent much time together with their grandparents in Salado in the 1960s and 1970s, skipping rocks and picking watercress in the creek and visiting Shepperd's Grocery Store (now the Salado General Store) to buy candy and fudgesicles. Molly's parents were married at the Salado United Methodist Church, as were her grandparents, aunt and uncle, and great-aunt and uncle. Molly's great-grandmother, Tommie Nidositko, worked at Stagecoach Inn at the hotel and restaurant for many years. Generations of Molly's family have called Salado their home. Davis first visited Salado during Christmas 2024, and he and Molly decided then to have their wedding in this charming small town. We hope that you fall in love with this place and take some time to stroll down to Salado Creek in Pace Park to skip stones, look for minnows, and maybe you will even find a crawdad and some watercress.
