From the moment Molly saw Jacob in 2016, she was intrigued. Not in the way the stories tell of falling in love at first sight, but she knew she wanted to get to know him more. As time went on and as they began to get to know each other through the tech crew in their high school production of Mary Poppins, Molly decided to take things into her own hands. She decided to ask Jacob out to the Sadie Hawkins dance, not expecting it to actually work out. In true Jacob fashion, he said “sure”. After Molly got the ball rolling, they went on their first date at the ice rink, had their first kiss at a picnic, and said I love you at the Mary Poppins cast party.

They both graduated high school (Jacob in 2017 and Molly in 2019) and went to different colleges. That meant 4 and a half years of long distance which definitely came with its challenges, but also led them to grow even closer together. Jacob graduated from Western Carolina University in 2021 and Molly graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2023.

Since then Jacob has become a firefighter with both the Concord and Matthews Fire Departments. Molly has become a first grade teacher at Hawk Ridge Elementary where, funny enough, Jacob went to elementary school years ago. And where he decided to propose!

And now, we are finally here and ready to celebrate with all of you!
