This is a great place to walk around, shop, and stop for a bite! There are a lot of different places to look around including different boutiques like Francesca's or Apricot Lane. There are also bigger stores like Dick's Sporting Goods and Barnes and Noble. The food is also lots of fun as there is Bad Daddy's Burger, Midwood Smokehouse, and Cheesecake Factory. Whatever suits your fancy, Birkdale Village has it!

Downtown Belmont is such a cute, little town that is so fun to walk around. There is a wonderful cotton candy store called The Cotton Candy Factory which is run by Holy Angels Inc. There are also some really nice restaurants like The Bearded Buffalo, Sammy's Neighborhood Pub, and Nellie's Southern Kitchen. One of our favorite restaurants around here is Jekyll & Hyde. If you go, make sure you try the Irish Nachos!

The Whitewater Center is such a cool place. Beyond just the beauty of Catawba River, there are so many fun things to do. Recreational activities include whitewater and flatwater paddling, climbing, running, cycling, hiking, fishing, and more. There are also multiple restaurants including River's Edge, Wildwoods Cabin, Pump House Biergarten, and many more.

Optimist Hall is a great place for anyone who loves food. Think of it like an elevated mall food court. There are over 20 food stalls, 3 dine in restaurants, a craft cocktail lounge, a brewery and even some retail shops. This is the perfect location to make everyone happy!
