Q + A

Is parking available?

There is street parking only available. We recommend taking: Taxi, Uber or Lyft.

Do you have a registry?

While gift are always appreciated, they are not necessary. We are an established household and don't require much. However, we have a registry for gift cards to local hardware stores and/ or an appliance fund to help us build our house into a home. If you choose to donate to our projects, we would most grateful. The real gift is your presents at our wedding.

Is there a Block of rooms?

Yes! We have a block of rooms at a pet friendly hotel near us and only 20 minutes (at most) to Mid City Yacht Club. If you need the code for our block please message Tye or Molly.

What should we wear?

To the Celebration in the Oaks Night Before Party: We are asking yall to wear you ugliest/ funniest ( remembering there small children around) sweater. Or if you're like Tye and Molly and have a small collection of Bar Swag Sweater for Christmas Please wear those. FOR THE NIGHT OF THE WEDDING: We ask that you come in casual cocktail attire. We know we're getting married in a hole in the wall bar but would still like to see you looking like you're ready for a night out. Even though this is not a traditional wedding the bride asks that the lovely ladies not wear white dresses and that the gents not wear white suits.

What kind of Place is the venue?

Mid City Yacht Club is a neighborhood bar. A little hole in the wall place, that welcomes everyone and there dogs to hangout, watch the game, eat, drink and be merry.

Will there be things for the kids to do at the wedding?

Yes! Molly is working on a clam space, not just for the kids. There will be coloring, games and more for anyone that needs a safe space to take a break from people and noise.

Are there any smoking restriction at the venue?

Smoking restrictions : You can not smoke in any building on property only in the courtyard space, which is were our wedding is being held. There is also a space out front of the building to sit and smoke should you prefer.

How does a wedding in a bar work?

Well... We're not really having a traditionally wedding. We will interrupt the arty with a quick Ceremony lead by Katie (our beautiful officiant), quickly followed by the cutting the cake and making one toast to all those that came to celebrate and partying the night away.
