Monica & Jake

November 8, 2025 • Philadelphia, PA

How did Jake pull off the surprise?

Monica thought they were getting ready to go to dinner. Unknown to her, Jake asked his cousin, Mike, to text in our group chat that him and his then girlfriend (now fiancé!!), Lauren, were passing through OCNJ.

are kids invited?

As much as we love your little ones, even the best parents need to take a break sometimes! Take yours on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at our wedding, which has been planned with an adults-only crowd in mind.

Can I bring a plus one?

Unfortunately, the venue cannot accommodate additional guests not explicitly stated on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding!

what is the dress code?

The dress code is: formal. We ask that men wear suits with a tie (tuxedo's are welcome but optional) and that women wear long dresses or formal evening pants in colors of their choice.

What should I not wear?

The venue does not permit t-shirts, athletic wear, untucked shirts, collared shirts unbuttoned more than one button, ripped clothing, shorts, baseball caps, open midriffs, leggings, extremely short hemlines, sneakers, extremely casual or beach footwear.

What are the wedding party colors?

Our bridesmaids will wear burgundy floor-length dresses, and our groomsmen will be dressed in black tuxedos.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony begins at 3PM. We ask all guests to be seated prior to 2:45PM.

Will there be transportation?

Yes, if you need transportation to the church please meet in the front of the Union League on Broad Street starting at 1:30 PM. The last trolley will depart to the church at 2:30PM. After the ceremony, around 4PM, the trolley’s will return to the Union League.

Where should I stay?

We have reserved rooms at The Element (15), The W (15) and The Cambria (20). You can find more detail on our "Hotel" page.

What if I want to stay at a different hotel

Please feel free to book outside of our hotel blocks if you prefer. That’s the benefit of being in the city - there are lots of options! We’d just kindly ask that you follow instructions for transportation pick up or coordinate your own arrival to the ceremony.

Can I take pictures?

Our ceremony will be unplugged to ensure our photographers can do their best work in capturing our big day. We kindly ask you to keep personal cameras and cell phones tucked away until cocktail hour. Then the more the merrier - please take as many photos as you want - send them our way the next day!!
