We will be doing a group UTV ride through part of what is called the Alpine Loop on Friday June, 16. The Alpine Loop is a 63 mile scenic byway that winds its way through the San Juan mountain range, the southern Rockies, via two mountain passes, Engineer Pass, to the north, and Cinnamon Pass, to the south. Along the way, there are 14,000 ft. mountains, the historic towns of Lake City, Ouray, and Silverton, stunning alpine scenery, high alpine lakes and streams.

The ride will be guided by our good friend Skyler Howell who is our local off road mud slinging UTV expert. Sky spends time every summer in Silverton with family and friends exploring the San Juan mountains via UTV. He will take us to some of the best places via the best routes.

We have a 20% off group rate at Pirate Back Country Adventures. You must CALL and mention the Goode wedding to receive the group rate. Please check the website for different machine pricing and details (Silverton is included in the "Rock" Pirate Back Country Adventure's tab). Please note that all prices are for 2 people, any additional guest in a car is $50 each. All of their cars are 4 or 6 seaters due to those machines handling better and being the best for Colorado terrain. None of the cars are being held or reserved for our group, they are first come first serve, however, they do have quite a big fleet!

Day of, you will need to first go to the main office located in town at 957 Greene St, Silverton, CO 81433. There you will check in and once finished with paper work, you will drive to where the machines are held outside of town which is on the way to our group meet up spot. Please plan on getting to the main office around 7:30. We will plan on meeting at the group meet up spot at 8:00, or shortly after depending on how long the rentals may take. The group meet up spot is the UTV loading area located between the Eureka Camp Ground and Eureka Lodge (37.881531, -107.566143. See attached map below).

We will be doing a half day (8:00am-12:00pm) and a full day (8:00am- to 5:00pm) ride for those of us who would like to be back for rehearsal or any other reason. Each car from Pirate does come with a GPS and after their in depth orientation, you do not have to necessarily stick with the group the whole time if you would like to explore on your own.

A few things to note:

- Check the local weather forecast. It may be cooler than normal in Silverton this year and up in the pass on the ride it will get even cooler. Plan on bringing a jacket and possibly a poncho in case of rain.

- Lunch and drinks, please plan on bringing some snacks or pack a lunch for the ride. Definitely pack some delicious beverages!

There is another UTV rental in town called San Juan Back Country, however, there are not offering any discounts. Feel free to look into their rentals as well.

Jeeps or any 4x4 vehicles are welcome as well.

We are planning a full day 8:00am-5:00pm (8 hours) on Friday, June 16. Those who may need to come in earlier for rehearsal or other needs will come back and only participate in a half day ride 8:00am-12:00pm (4 hours).
