Our story begins the way many modern love stories do: with a swipe right.

Our first date? Let’s just say… it wasn’t love at first sight. It was awkward, a little quiet (let’s be honest I did most of the talking), and I left thinking he wasn’t that into me. But something about him stuck with me, and I said yes to a second date.

That second date changed everything.

On our second date, everything clicked. The conversation flowed, the laughter came naturally, and I realized that quiet doesn’t mean uninterested, it means thoughtful, and maybe just a little nervous. That second date turned into many more… and eventually, love.

Now, I’m in medical school in Arizona, chasing my lifelong goal of becoming a doctor. He’s still farming in Nebraska, grounded in the life he’s always loved. It’s not always easy being miles apart, but he’s supported me through every late-night study session, exam meltdown, and anatomy lab rant: even from hundreds of miles away.

We’ve built a life filled with early mornings, long-distance calls, plane tickets, and one extremely spoiled cat. It’s unconventional, but it’s ours, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

We can’t wait to finally be in the same place, and even more importantly, to celebrate our forever with all of you.
